How You'll Do It
- Team Leadership: Lead a team of Relationship Management subject matter experts, leveraging knowledge of partners, industry trends, and competitive environment.
- Strategic Vision and Leadership: Set a strategic direction for the team, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives. Develop long-term plans and strategies to enhance participant engagement and drive growth.
- Business Development Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy, focusing on managing Strategic Retailers and Tech Partnerships on Discover Network. Identify new opportunities, negotiate partnerships, and ensure successful implementation of key initiatives while maintaining acceptance across our three network brands (DCI/PULSE and Discover Network).
- Senior-Level Ambassador: Act as a senior-level ambassador and point of escalation, driving goals that support company initiatives mutually beneficial to Discover and the merchants.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed and share market trends, competitive landscapes, and regulatory changes in the US payments industry that affect our most strategic partners. Develop innovative products, create effective marketing strategies, and improve operational efficiencies.
- Cross-Functional Engagement: Work closely with various departments, including marketing, IT, and customer service, to ensure seamless execution of initiatives and alignment with overall business objectives.
- Financial Performance: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure the business is achieving its financial targets.
- Influence Senior Leadership: Influence and interface with Senior Payments leadership, presenting strategic initiatives, gaining buy-in, and driving execution across the organization.
