About the Role: 

The Abacus Insights Growth team continues to expand! After a banner year, the team is seeking a highly skilled Director, Strategic Accounts (DSA), to drive revenue growth within our existing customer portfolio. Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President, Business Development, the DSA will have a deep understanding of healthcare payers and operate as a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders, ultimately ensuring our products are driving value within their business. 

You Will:

- Drive account growth within a portfolio of existing health insurance clients by deeply understanding the client’s needs and Abacus’s product portfolio to creatively identify high-value and tailored solutions
- Lead the end-to-end sales process, from discovery to close (including initial client communications, on-site presentations, RFI responses, multi-day client workshops, RFP submissions, negotiations, and deal signing), ensuring the seamless execution of growth initiatives and consistently meeting revenue targets
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (product, marketing, customer success, delivery, finance) to deliver compelling proposals and ensure high customer retention
- Own a seven-figure quota across Abacus Insights most strategic payer customers

What we’re looking for: 

- 10+ years experience in sales, specifically in account growth 

- 5-7 years of experience working either for or directly with the Medicaid segment payers

- An understanding of cloud-based products such as AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks and Snowflake 

Bonus:

- Experience working both inside a payer and for technology companies that serve payers

- Experience working as a consultant inside the healthcare vertical
