This role requires a hands-on technical leader with demonstrated full-stack web and mobile expertise and the ability to drive teams through the entire mobile and web development lifecycle, ensuring delivery excellence in a fast-paced, results-driven, and highly collaborative environment.

The base salary range for this role is $213,000 - $300,000.00.

What You'll Do
- Define and drive the web and mobile Technical platform vision: Establish a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Drive technical excellence: Provide hands-on technical leadership while influencing architecture, development practices, and operational standards across the organization.
- Lead and grow a high-performing team: Recruit, mentor, and develop engineering leaders and individual contributors, fostering a sense of ownership and accountability.
- Deliver a world-class web and mobile experience: Lead the development of a robust, hybrid application that enables a seamless customer journey.
- Operationalize success metrics: Establish clear KPIs to measure engineering efficiency, Platform performance, and business impact.
- Drive automation and process improvements: Champion best practices in web and mobile development, CI/CD, testing, and deployment.
- Strategic road mapping & prioritization: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and execute medium- and long-term web and mobile strategies.
- Drive AI Innovation: Lead the company's effort in identifying and implementing AI for customer experience use cases.
- Collaborate across the business: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key business and technical stakeholders to ensure technology aligns with enterprise goals.
- Champion engineering best practices: Help evolve agile and lean methodologies at scale, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, testing, and reliable delivery.
- Interface with the C-suite: Frequently communicate the technical vision to Chewy's senior leaders, including VP-level and C-level executives.
What You'll Need
- Proven full-stack leadership in building and scaling storefront and hybrid mobile applications, with expertise in responsive and mobile first design for optimized mobile web experiences.
- Strong experience with web and mobile frameworks for responsive, mobile-friendly web interfaces. Demonstrated ability to design and implement mobile-centric UX/UI experiences that align with platform-specific design standards.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer experiences that drive business results.
- Must be a results-oriented problem solver and an analytical, visionary thinker.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present and consult with all levels in a proactive and collaborative manner.
- Ability to work well through ambiguity, make tough calls with confidence, and lead through adversity with a sharp focus on the right outcomes.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work and communicate effectively with senior leadership and engineering leaders.
- 15+ years of experience building customer experiences across mobile and web technologies.
- 10+ years of experience working with product, CX design, and research teams to identify requirements and deliver solutions that enable the business.
- Experience managing both managers and senior engineering talent across cross-functional teams.
- Startup experience with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, flat organizational structures.
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.
- Modest travel may be required.

The base salary range for this role is $213,000 - $300,000.00.
- The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to the candidate's relevant experience, education, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 401k and a new hire and annual equity grant. C08+ positions may also be eligible for annual bonus.
