About the Role 

As Director / Senior Director of Engineering, Data Platform, you will lead the strategy, development and operations of OM1’s data platform, ensuring that it is optimized for rapid and reliable data processing at scale. This includes a critical focus on designing and implementing cutting-edge generative AI solutions within an agentic framework to achieve efficiency gains in our data pipelines.In this role you’ll partner with cross-functional teams - including Applications, Core Infrastructure, Product Management, and others - to design, deliver and evolve a market-leading platform that powers OM1’s data products, applications and analytics solutions. 

You will be accountable for the end-to-end engineering execution of the Data Platform, including high-throughput data ingestion and movement, processing, automation and rapid delivery capabilities to build a next generation data platform that meets our scale, performance, reliability and flexibility requirements. The Data Platform team will be critical in ensuring OM1 can deliver high-quality, compliant, and performant data solutions at scale.

What You’ll Do at OM1

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Own the vision and roadmap for OM1's Data Platform, ensuring it delivers high throughput data processing and drives transformative efficiency through generative AI.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead the Data Platform team, including global team members across the United States and India.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and technical leaders.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative engineering culture that values innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner cross-functionally with the App Platform, Core Infrastructure, Product Management and other teams to align platform capabilities with business needs.
  • Partner with Product Management to prioritize platform enhancements and align with product roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with the Core Infrastructure team (including Information Security, Infrastructure and IT) to ensure platform adherence to PHI/PII requirements and certifications (e.g., SOC 2, HITRUST).

Technical Execution & Delivery

  • Lead multiple Agile teams in delivering robust, high-quality engineering solutions.
  • Deliver core platform capabilities, including data ingestion frameworks, data lake/warehouse solutions, transformation pipelines, governance and lineage tracking, and API-based delivery mechanisms.
  • Architect, develop, and deploy agentic systems to automate and optimize complex data processes, from ingestion to consumption, aiming for significant efficiency improvements.
  • Build reusable services, tools, and frameworks that accelerate application development and analytics capabilities.
  • Establish best practices for data processing speed, efficiency, and quality without compromising accuracy or compliance.

What Experience You’ll Bring
  • 10+ years of engineering experience, including at least 5 years in engineering leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise in architecting and scaling data platforms and distributed systems.
  • Strong technical background in cloud-native data technologies (e.g., AWS, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka).
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying generative AI solutions, particularly in the context of data pipelines and agentic systems.
    Proven track record of driving significant efficiency gains through automation and AI-driven optimization in data-intensive environments.
  • Proven ability to define and deliver on a technical vision for high-performance, rapid data processing infrastructure.
  • Track record of building and leading high-performing, diverse engineering teams.
  • Experience working in highly regulated data environments with PHI/PII.

Salary Range: $205,729 - $246,875

This range reflects the expected base salary for this position. Final compensation is based on factors such as relevant experience, expertise, location, and internal equity.
