This department is responsible for selling our mobile video ecosystem to enterprise organizations and Fortune 500 companies throughout the United States.
Job Description
The Director of Retail Strategy will take ownership and work closely with our sales teams and retail customers to proactively develop opportunities, grow revenue, and gain market share in the retail enterprise marketplace. The Director of Retail Strategy will be at the forefront of developing and executing effective sales strategies, building and managing relationships with internal sales, product teams, and key end user organizations.
Responsibilities are but not limited to:
Develop strong, trusted advisor relationships with key decision makers and influencers within our enterprise customer base in order to understand and influence decision making and funding
Responsible for the strategy and execution of the identified strategic priorities and projects
Help develop and properly message Motorola's retail narrative, both internally and to external customers and organizations
Drive strategies with enterprise retail customers for Motorola success in the customers procurement environment
Be contributor to both order and revenue financial performance for their assigned team’s territory by creating and maintaining a healthy team pipeline
Network with key Motorola Solution’s work partners including; pre sales engineers, area services team, marketing; product management, sales operations, order/credit management to insure your territory objectives are met
Conduct joint end user sales calls as a method of coaching and training
Function as a coach/consultant for Account Managers to drive efficiencies and contributions
Be aware of competition and technology disruptors that may impact your market and partner community
Understand Motorola Solutions contract terms & compliance requirements
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
10+ years of experience in retail strategy, loss prevention or business development
4+ years of leadership experience
Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing or related field is preferred
Experience in Vertical Markets: Retail, Healthcare, Hospitality, Education, Manufacturing, Private Security, Transportation, Loss Prevention
End user leadership experience in retail environment
Proven track record of developing and executing successful retail strategies that have driven significant business growth
Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
Effective and proven negotiation skills
Ability to develop and maintain relationships with C-Level executives in Fortune 500 accounts
Ability to drive strategies with enterprise customers and navigate their purchasing environments
Understanding of the enterprise domain, Motorola portfolio, competitive landscape; customer procurement processes and has dealt effectively with enterprise decision making landscapes
Ability to quickly learn Salesforce as the project reporting tool and forecast method
Must be able to travel greater than 60% of the time
Target Base Salary Range: $170,000- $190,000 USD
