Role Summary:

The Director, Regional Market Development, works across the neuromuscular community as a face of Dyne and is responsible for partnering cross-functionally on regional strategy and execution of tactical plans that drive account engagement based on science and a deep commitment to patient care. The Director, Regional Market Development, will build strong relationships with key stakeholders, including neuromuscular healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and uncover local/regional patient advocates while developing deep regional insights regarding the patient journey/referral pathways. The goal is to build a foundation that enables treatment access to Dyne’s products and services.

As part of a high performing team, this role seamlessly collaborates cross functionally to deliver a one Dyne approach, including close collaboration with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Patient Services, Advocacy, and Market Access to ensure cohesive and aligned go-to-market strategies and successful execution.  The Director, Regional Market Development, will liaise between Dyne functions and the external stakeholder ecosystem, relaying key insights and driving the co-creation of value-added strategies that accelerate overall launch readiness.  

This is a field-based role that will require a blend of virtual and face-to-face engagements

 

Primary Responsibilities Include:

Regional Strategy Development 

  • Partner to set the strategy and execute engagement plan for key accounts in designated region
  • Establish Dyne as a trusted, enduring partner amongst the neuromuscular community and play a pivotal role in building and driving Dyne’s reputation
  • Synthesize key customer insights and stakeholder dynamics and bring to leadership to inform evolution and optimization of strategy, tactics, messaging, and program execution
  • Create annual business plans aligned with overall goals for assigned key accounts including cross functional support required to drive regional objectives
  • Secure necessary resources and collaborate with matrix teams to lead business and account planning, ensuring deep customer and competitive insights 

Drive Overall Launch Readiness

  • Drive market development by profiling key treatment centers to understand patient care, treatment logistics, and patient support infrastructure
  • Ensure treatment by delivering education on disease and product related topics including infusion capacity/home infusion capabilities
  • Map treatment center referral pathways, HCPs involved in treatment decisions, regional payer ecosystem, and potential barriers to care
  • Validate processes for billing, coding, and reimbursement
  • Drive company growth, develop and expand regional partnership opportunities, and manage relations with potential partners across the assigned geography
  • Develop and implement KPI’s to ensure quality and speed in execution

Customer Centricity – Market Analysis & Digital Capability

  • Act as a trusted partner and as the primary (but non-exclusive) Dyne point of contact with assigned treatment centers/experts/customer in their geographies
  • Drive innovation in commercial strategy and tactics to build brand awareness, excitement, and intent to prescribe while ensuring superior execution of market development efforts
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and drive competitive differentiation of Dyne’s platform and pipeline of novel treatments 

Financial Performance 

  • Meet and exceed business objectives through thoughtful planning, collaboration with internal and external partners, and utilization of tools and resources for flawless execution of business objectives

Education and Skills Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, PharmD) preferred
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in a similar role in the rare disease market
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and commercializing biotech products, with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in the rare disease market
  • Deep understanding of value & access, market structure, competitive landscape, industry trends, and regulatory environment in the US region required
  • Previous experience in key account management preferable
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on analysis
  • Influential personality with the ability to simplify and clarify complex issues to broad and diverse audiences
  • Enterprise mindset that makes culture and values come to life in everyday activities
  • Experience in a small, rapidly growing biotech with the ability to operate and maneuver in a start-up environment while keeping a solutions-oriented mentality
  • High ethical standards and integrity
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time to meet business objectives
