Our Director of Recruiting, Digital Solutions for US and Canada will maintain an in-office presence on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays in one of our major US offices - Charlottesville, VA, Durham, NC, Columbus, OH, or Boston, MA.

The Opportunity

The Director of Recruiting, Digital Solutions for US and Canada is a pivotal leadership role designed to guide and evolve our talent acquisition strategy, ensuring the attraction, engagement, and hiring of top talent within the US and Canada. This role is central to our mission of driving growth through a high-performing, diverse workforce, and is directly responsible for enhancing our employer brand and expansion into new regions.

What you'll achieve
  • Strengthen Employer Branding: Develop and implement a strategic plan to level up our employer brand to attract top talent.
  • Talent Acquisition Strategy Execution: Successfully lead and manage recruitment efforts across the US and Canada, including new regions, ensuring a consistent and effective hiring process that aligns with our global expansion goals.
  • Integration of DEI Principles: Seamlessly integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles throughout the recruitment process to foster an inclusive workplace culture and diversify our talent pipeline.
  • Innovation in Talent Acquisition: Introduce innovative recruitment solutions and technologies to solve novel problems, improving efficiency and effectiveness in hiring practices.
  • Management and Development of Talent Acquisition Team: Lead a team of approximately 15, directly managing 6, including individual contributors and managers, fostering a culture of growth, performance, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Global Leadership and Team Management: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a diverse, global talent acquisition team, with experience in direct management of both individual contributors and functional managers.
  • Strategic Sourcing and Research: Ability to lead sourcing functions with a novel and innovative approach to how we attract, engage, and manage talent pools and pipelines.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Strong competency in managing executive stakeholders, with the presence and assertiveness needed to manage expectations and say no when necessary.
  • Adaptability to Market and Organizational Dynamics: Exceptional ability to manage ambiguity and adapt to evolving needs through organizational changes and market expansions.
  • Market Expansion Experience: Experience in evaluating global talent markets, delivering accurate research and sound recommendations to the executive team
  • Innovative Problem-Solving: A forward-thinking approach to talent acquisition, willing to seek out and implement new solutions to enhance recruitment practices and outcomes.
  • DEI Integration: Commitment to integrating DEI throughout the recruitment process, enhancing the inclusivity and diversity of the organization.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with ATS and CRM systems and proficiency in utilizing recruitment technologies and tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Gem, Greenhouse, ModernLoop, Ashby, Workday Recruiting, and Avature. Along with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
  • Employer Branding Expertise: Proven track record in building or significantly improving employer branding, particularly in situations following organizational challenges or reputational impacts.
  • Regulatory and Compliance Understanding: Knowledge of compliance requirements for recruiting within a public company, especially in the tech industry, with a global perspective.
  • Strong communication in English, both written and oral.
