BAE Systems' Sustainment & International Product Line is hiring a Director, Programs - International to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. The Program Director will be responsible for developing and delivering moderate to complex campaigns and programs for ground combat vehicles with initial emphasis on M88s and AMPVs in-country industrialization and support.
The position is available as US-based remote with periodic to frequent travel (25%-50%) to company and customer locations, both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities:
- Provides program leadership in execution from program capture through delivery
- Thinks long term while also managing program launches and execution, anticipates and resolves problems
- Manages program(s) to achieve cost, profitability, schedule, technical performance, and quality objectives with a high level of customer satisfaction
- Leads strategies for proposal preparation, negotiations, and pricing decisions
- Orchestrates internal group and external group stakeholder collaboration to meet all program obligations and objectives
- Establishes program direction for the functional IPT leads delivering the scope (Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Field Service, Industrialization/Offset, and/or others)
- Effectively presents Campaign, Capture, and Program status and proposals to Customers and Senior Management
- Proactively plans, monitors, and controls scope and activities including disciplined, effective change management
- Actively and effectively manages opportunities and risks
- Makes timely decisions with sound judgment while complying with policies and procedures
- Continuously improves program performance including capturing, evaluating, sharing, and implementing best practices
- Meets financial commitments for Orders, Sales, Profit, and Cash Flow
- Complies with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to ethics, export control, proprietary information, document/record retention, public communication, etc.
- Promotes a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety and environmental objectives and policies
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Ability to travel 50%, both domestically and internationally
- Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of work experience or equivalent experience
- Experience in Program/Project Management
- Experience in Programs, Contracts, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and/or Sustainment and Field Service to understand business complexities
- Experience in Foreign Military Sales (FMS), International Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), and/or industrialization processes and business arrangements
- Firm understanding of business case development, schedule development and analysis, program cost management and forecasting, and opportunity and risk management
- Strong leadership, collaborative, and interpersonal skills for coordinating, planning, aligning, and managing multiple stakeholders, both internal and external
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work cross-culturally and cross-functionally
- Ability to operate within broad guidance to generate strategies, convert into actionable plans, and lead teams through executing the plans
- Ability to take a deliberate approach to decision-making in a dynamic operating environment
- Proven ability to rapidly determine root cause and implement solutions to address
- Solid oral and written communication skills to communicate with internal and external leaders at multiple levels to include executive leadership in the US Government, foreign countries, and the company
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) Certification
- Defense Acquisition Program training
- Knowledge of BAE Systems products
- Expertise in Foreign Military Sales (FMS), International Direct Commercial Sales (DCS), and/or industrialization processes and business arrangements
- Experience in Lifecycle Management (LCM) practices and an understanding of all steps involved in a product lifecycle
- Ability to implement change management and continuous learning initiatives
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a growth focus and repeatable process orientation
