What are we looking for?
We’re looking for a Director of Product Marketing who thrives at the intersection of product, marketing, sales, and strategy, and who can translate a complex, evolving platform across CMS, DXP, data, and AI into clear, differentiated value for the market. This role requires a challenger mindset, someone who constructively pushes product teams, challenges assumptions, and sharpens roadmap decisions with real market insight, while serving as a true bi-directional partner who ensures customer, sales, and competitive intelligence flows seamlessly into and out of Product. You are commercially driven and see launches through to adoption and revenue impact, relentlessly competitive in understanding the market landscape, and deeply customer-first, anchoring strategy in outcomes rather than features. Above all, you bring a builder mentality, comfortable creating structure where it’s needed and evolving it as Contentstack continues to scale. Here is what you'll be doing:
Product Marketing
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing Product Marketing team
- Set the PMM operating model across launches, messaging, competitive intelligence, and adoption
- Serve as the connective tissue between Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success
Messaging, Positioning & Storytelling
- Own Contentstack’s product messaging and positioning across CMS, DXP, personalization, and AI
- Translate technical capabilities into compelling, customer-centric stories
- Ensure consistent narratives across product, brand, demand, sales enablement, and exec-level storytelling
Product Launches
- Lead end-to-end product launches—from roadmap alignment to external activation
- Partner with Product to define launch tiers, success metrics, and post-launch adoption plans
- Ensure launches drive real usage and revenue impact, not just awareness
Pricing and Packaging
- Partner with Product, Sales, and Finance on pricing and packaging strategy
- Define value-based packaging that aligns customer outcomes with monetization
- Support pricing changes with clear rationale, enablement, and market readiness
Competitive Intelligence
- Build a world-class competitive intelligence function
- Deeply understand the CMS, DXP, personalization, and AI landscape
- Arm Product and GTM teams with insights to outflank competitors, not just react to them
Technical Marketing
- Lead technical marketing for developers, architects, and digital teams
- Ensure clarity around APIs, composability, integrations, and AI capabilities
- Act as a domain expert in CMS / DXP products and modern digital experience architectures
Product Adoption
- Serve as the product adoption lead, particularly for AI-driven capabilities
- Establish and run a cross-functional adoption council (Product, CS, Sales, Marketing)
- Define adoption goals, feedback loops, and success metrics to accelerate time-to-value
What really gets us excited about you?
- 10+ years of Product Marketing experience in B2B SaaS
- Proven strategic leadership experience, along with team and talent development experience
- Experience launching and scaling complex, technical products
- Hands-on experience with AI-powered solutions or platforms (shipping, positioning, or adoption)
- Product launches at scale
- Messaging, positioning, and narrative development
- Executive-level storytelling
- Pricing and packaging strategy
- Technical marketing for developer and digital audiences
- Competitive intelligence and market analysis
- Deep familiarity with CMS, DXP, and modern digital experience platforms
- Some travel is required
Salary for this role ranges from $180,000 - $200,000 based on skillset and experience
What Do We Offer?
Interesting Work | We hire curious trendspotters and brave trendsetters. This is NOT your boring, routine, cushy, rest-and-vest corporate job. This is the “challenge yourself” role where you learn something new every day, never stop growing, and have fun while you’re doing it.
Tribe Vibe | We are more than colleagues, we are a tribe. We have a strict “no a**hole policy” and enforce it diligently. This means we spend time together - with spontaneous office happy hours, organized outings, and community volunteer opportunities. We are a diverse and distributed team, but we like to stay connected.
Bragging Rights | We are dreamers and dream makers. Our efforts pay off and we work with the most prestigious brands, from big-name retailers to airlines, to professional sports teams. Your contribution will make an impact with many of the most recognizable names in almost every industry including AirFrance KLM, ASICS, Burberry, Mattel, Mitsubishi, Walmart, and many more!
One Team One Dream | This is one of our values, and it shows. We don’t believe in artificial hierarchies. If you’re part of the tribe, you have an opportunity to contribute. Your voice will be heard and you will also receive regular updates about the business and its performance. Which, btw, is through the roof, so it’s a great time to be joining…
