Description

At Oura, our mission is to empower every person to own their inner potential. With our award-winning Oura Ring and app, we help over 2.5 million people turn insights about sleep, activity, and readiness into healthier, more balanced lives. We believe that starts from within — by creating a culture where our team feels supported, included, and inspired to do their best work. guide how we show up for each other and our community every day.

We’re looking for a Director of Product Marketing with deep hardware experience to lead the function at Oura and grow a high-performing team focused on driving go-to-market strategy, customer insights, positioning, and product storytelling. This is a pivotal role at the intersection of product, marketing, and customer experience—and perfect for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and knows how to bring clarity and momentum to complexity.

What you will do:

  • Lead a team of product marketers responsible for launching, positioning, and growing our hardware and software experiences (one to be hired by this person when they start)
  • Own the development of crisp, compelling messaging and positioning that translates complex technology into customer-first narratives
  • Be responsible for multi-tasking on a broad range of products/projects, differing in scope and scale –  integrating individual project narratives into a cohesive framework
  • Build one-pagers, crisp slides, and briefs that bring ideas to life visually and persuasively—this is not a “nice to have,” it’s a key strength
  • Collaborate closely with product management, brand / integrated marketing, creative, retail, and comms to shape product roadmaps, launch strategies, and customer education
  • Partner with sales and CX to ensure product stories land across all touchpoints
  • Roll up your sleeves and drive clarity in a fast-paced, highly cross-functional environment—managing inputs from many teams while keeping your team focused and calm
  • Be a thought partner to leadership and an advocate for the customer, bringing insight and discipline to decision-making
  • Track market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to ensure our positioning is differentiated and relevant
Requirements

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

  • 10+ years of experience in product marketing, with at least 5 years working in hardware (consumer electronics, wearables, devices, etc.)
  • A portfolio of standout launch and GTM work—ideally across both physical and digital products
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal—you can translate nuance into clarity, and complexity into simplicity
  • A strong visual communicator: you’re the person who builds tight decks, clean slides, and memorable one-pagers that move ideas forward
  • Experience managing and mentoring a talented team of product marketers
  • A highly organized and level-headed approach, even when juggling multiple moving pieces and stakeholders
  • A deep understanding of the product lifecycle, from early research and positioning to post-launch growth
  • Strong cross-functional instincts—you know how to influence without authority and align stakeholders around shared outcomes. Driving clarity and consensus in a matrixed organization is a critical part of this role.

Nice to have:

  • Experience working on both B2C and B2B2C products
  • Comfort navigating ambiguous and evolving strategies in a scaling company
  • A passion for health, wellness, or human performance
