Lead Snowplow’s product marketing strategy, including positioning, messaging, packaging, product launches, competitive intelligence, field enablement, analyst relations, partner marketing, and customer narratives. Translate complex behavioral data and AI infrastructure capabilities for technical and business audiences. Build an AI-native marketing function, support sales and pricing decisions, shape market feedback for product teams, and represent Snowplow through events, published thought leadership, and executive communications.
About Snowplow
Snowplow is the real-time customer context layer that collects, validates, enriches, and delivers behavioral data for advanced analytics, ML, and AI agent decisioning. Snowplow's event tracking is leveraged across 2M+ websites and applications globally, processing over one trillion events per month.
More than 250 companies, including Experian, AutoTrader, Strava, Condé Nast, and HelloFresh, rely on Snowplow to build a well-governed, first-party data foundation that powers their customer-facing AI agents, in-session personalization and recommendations, and real-time analytics.
This Opportunity
The Director of Product Marketing is a leadership role, responsible for how the market understands and buys into what Snowplow is and why it matters. You already understand the business value of customer behavioral data, composable architecture, and real-time context for AI agent decisioning, deeply enough to walk in with your own point of view on Snowplow's value prop from day one.
You'll own positioning and messaging across Snowplow's capabilities, and you'll be expected to bring original thinking to how we communicate that value — not simply operate a framework someone else designed. You are as comfortable writing the narrative as you are delivering it: on stage at an industry event, on a sales call with an AE, in a LinkedIn post, or in a conversation with a co-founder about where the roadmap and the market story need to meet. The narrative has to hold up everywhere it gets used: a first conversation with a prospect, a competitive deal late in the cycle, a renewal, an analyst briefing. Keeping one story consistent is key.
You'll have unlimited access to Claude and best-in-class AI tooling from day one, stepping into a unified AI infrastructure with a standing mandate to shape how it's applied to product marketing (e.g. messaging, competitive intelligence, collateral generation), and the license to experiment with new workflows as the tooling evolves.
You report to the SVP of Marketing & Growth and will work closely with the Snowplow co-founders to stay close to Snowplow's vision and mission.
What you will own
- An AI-native approach to the craft for yourself and the function. AI as a core part of how you research, draft, test, and iterate messaging, so your time goes to judgment and narrative, not production. Hold a real point of view on how product marketing is changing because of AI, and shape Snowplow’s internal AI tooling as it gets built.
- Positioning, messaging, and packaging across Snowplow's capabilities, with a clear and original point of view on how to communicate that value to both technical power users and the business stakeholders they serve.
- Snowplow's core narrative:one story that scales from a data engineer evaluating the tracker to a CMO or CDO asking "why does this matter to my business?"
- Go-to-market for new product releases in close collaboration with Product Management, including launch messaging, timing, tiering, and cross-functional rollout.
- Own market signal: the competitive dynamics and customer evidence that you read from the market and bring that back to Product Management to inform roadmap priorities.
- Competitive positioning: maintain Snowplow's point of view on the competitive landscape and equip the field to win those conversations with confidence.
- AI-assisted buying research: ensure Snowplow's narrative and differentiation are accurately represented when prospects evaluate vendors through ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity, partnering with other functions of marketing on the underlying content and technical optimization.
- Product and use case website copy and visuals, keeping it current with Snowplow's evolving narrative and capabilities.
- Field enablement: build the enablement AEs and AMs actually use, and sit in on sales calls when it matters, as a subject-matter expert the field wants in the room.
- Build and own the central canon of product narratives, trustmarks, and customer stories that commercial teams draw on to generate their own customer- and prospect-specific collateral through Snowplow's internal AI tooling. Shape the direction of that tooling as it's built by Snowplow’s Applied AI team.
- Snowplow's external narrative: speak at industry events, in person and virtually, and publish original thinking via your own Substack or LinkedIn writing, plus contributions to the Snowplow blog.
- Narrative and messaging for partner-facing content and joint positioning with ecosystem partners (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, Google Cloud, Azure).
- AI-driven Win/Loss analysis to keep positioning and messaging grounded in what's actually winning (or losing) deals, not just internal conviction.
- Product Marketing’s input into packaging and pricing, working with Sales and Finance/Revops, to ensure how we bundle and price capabilities reinforces the narrative rather than fighting it.
- Analyst relations: briefings, positioning for analyst evaluation, and relationship management with relevant industry analysts.
We would love to hear from you if you have
- Seasoned B2B SaaS product marketing leadership experience, ideally in a related category.
- A track record of shaping positioning and narrative from scratch for a company or product, not just executing a playbook someone else designed.
- Genuine belief in Snowplow's value prop and vision — not a neutral operator, but someone already bought in and excited to shape the narrative around it, with the confidence to argue your own view of it, including where it differs from the status quo
- Strong narrative design craft, specifically for complex, enterprise-grade platforms — the ability to build a story that holds together across many capabilities and many personas.
- Fluency translating deeply technical capability into language that lands with non-technical, business-side stakeholders.
- A public track record of evangelism: experience speaking at industry events (in person and virtual), and a habit of publishing original thinking (a personal blog/Substack, LinkedIn, or equivalent) in addition to company channels.
- Credibility with sales organizations — a trusted seat at the table with AEs and AMs, earned as a subject-matter expert.
- Executive communication skills and the judgment to manage up effectively, comfortable working directly with founders.
- Fluent use of AI as a core part of personal workflow, with a clear, considered point of view on how AI is reshaping product marketing as a discipline.

- Competitive Base Salary
- Flexible working
- Generous PTO
- Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance
