Recast helps the sharpest teams in the world solve complex measurement problems with best-in-class, composable marketing mix models and tooling. Years of marketing science research, proprietary modeling technology, and an exceptional delivery team are why brands like Hasbro, Canva, and Block trust us with their burning business decisions.

Now we’re hiring a Head of Product to make the experience of using Recast as powerful as the science behind it. You’ll build the product function, own our product vision and strategy, and lead and develop the team. Reporting directly to Recast’s CEO, you’ll join our senior leadership team alongside the heads of Engineering, Revenue, Marketing and Data Science.

This is an opportunity to rethink how enterprise teams engage with marketing science. You’ll have the resources, autonomy, and research partnership to turn new modeling capabilities into products our customers can’t put down.

What you'll do
  • Set the product vision and strategy. Own the near-term execution and long-term vision across our app, API, and MCP surfaces. Write the narratives that show how a product experience will move the needle for customers and for Recast.
  • Build the product function. Stand up how product works here: discovery-to-delivery loops, explicit and fast prioritization, and a shared view of what we’re building and why.
  • Lead and shape the team. Manage and develop our current product manager and own the product team's structure, roles, and ways of working as we grow.
  • Make customer discovery a standing practice. Spend real time with customers, watch them work, and build an evidence-based view of who they are and what they're trying to get done.
  • Define success and measure it. Set the product metrics and feedback loops that show us what's working, and decide what we do when something isn't.
  • Turn what we ship into what customers achieve. Partner closely with engineering, delivery, and go-to-market so that every launch has a compelling story, a path to adoption, and a clear read on its impact.
  • Productize research breakthroughs. Work with our research team to turn new modeling developments into products customers can use and pay for.
What we're looking for
  • A 0-to-1 builder. You've built a product function from the ground up, and you've managed PMs along the way. You're as comfortable doing the work yourself as you are growing the people around you.
  • A natural at discovery. You're at your best talking to technical, data-savvy users, and you turn what you hear into a clear, evidence-backed point of view.
  • Technical fluency, not technical depth. You're comfortable using an API and MCP tools yourself, because you'll be defining their user experience, but you don't need to be an engineer or a data scientist. You'll complement a deeply technical, research-led team.
  • Org-wide strategic thinker. You’ll become a member of Recast’s senior leadership team and inform our company-wide positioning and market direction.
  • An excellent writer and future thinker. Clear narratives are how strategy gets executed at Recast. We need someone who’s thinking about where enterprise product experiences are going and changing, and can clearly articulate how Recast will get there first.
What makes you stand out
  • A feel for how marketing budgets get set, defended, and argued for (and against)
  • Background in API-first or AI-native products
  • Experience with products that serve multiple enterprise stakeholders concurrently
Things that should excite you that might scare off other folks
  • A blank page. There's no inherited playbook, roadmap process, or org chart - you’ll get to write them.
  • Leaders here do the work. You'll write the narratives, sketch the prototypes, and join customer calls yourself.
  • Building for users who may never open a UI. You'll define great product experience for customers who increasingly work only through APIs and AI agents, not just an app.
  • Making calls without certainty. AI is reshaping this space fast, and waiting for perfect information means missing the moment. You're comfortable deciding with good-enough evidence and adjusting as you learn.
  • A remote, async-first team. Recast is spread globally across time zones, and clear written communication is essential here.
What we offer you
  • Work wherever you're happiest. We're fully remote
  • Competitive remote salary along with early-stage equity
  • Highly skilled coworkers you can learn from and who are eager to learn from you
  • An async-first culture with a focus on documentation over standing meetings
  • Autonomy and support to do your best work in your own time
  • Your local holidays plus unlimited PTO (minimum 2 weeks mandatory PTO!)

Note: Recast is committed to building a diverse team so if you are from an under-represented background in tech (e.g., women, BIPOC, etc.) please apply even if you don't necessarily check all of the boxes here.

While Recast is officially based in the US, we're a fully remote team. We can't sponsor visas at this time, however we are happy to have you join remotely from wherever you are.

If this sounds interesting to you, we'd love to learn more about you!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
