We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Product Manager for Data & Data Infrastructure. Our Data & Analytics business includes SAAS software solutions BNY provides to asset manager, asset owners, banks, broker dealers, insurance companies and alternative fund managers. These solutions include software for fund accounting and administration, performance and analytics, data management and investment operations, delivered across 100+ markets globally. The remit of this role covers all these solutions, clients and regions.  This role is located in New York, NY or Boston, MA. 

 

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

 

  • Leading the global vision and strategy for the Data & Analytics Data & Data Infrastructure capabilities. aligning with client needs, industry trends, and firm-wide innovation. 

  • Translate customer needs and market opportunities into actionable product standards (experience principles, design patterns, service tiers, reliability/latency targets, governance baselines). 

  • Partner deeply with engineering, design, security, SRE, and GTM to build, prioritize, and execute a roadmap with measurable value at each step—balancing platform foundations with customer-facing outcomes. 

  • Lead a team of PMs/product owners/specialists), setting clear goals, coaching execution, and ensuring high-quality launches and adoption. 

  • Tracking adoption metrics, platform usage, telemetry and client feedback to continuously improve 

  • Innovating around future-proofing and commercializing channel capabilities, including the use of emerging technologies like generative AI and data monetization strategies. 

  • Collaborating with business development teams to support strategic engagements with key clients 

 

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

 

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years leading other PMs (or equivalent team leadership at the Group PM / Director level). 

  • Proven success owning multi-year product vision and roadmaps, and translating strategy into execution across multiple squads/teams. 

  • Track record building B2B products for complex enterprise customers, including stakeholder management up to C-level. 

  • Deep technical understanding of cloud + data infrastructure, with strong intuition for tradeoffs across performance, reliability, security, and cost at enterprise scale. 

  • Hands-on familiarity with modern data platform patterns (warehouse/lakehouse concepts, distributed systems, metadata-driven governance, large-scale data movement/integration). 

  • Experience driving SaaS platform modernization (e.g., multi-tenant SaaS, cloud-native technologies) and shipping platform capabilities that scale. 

  • Demonstrated success embedding AI into product experiences—automating workflows, improving discoverability/usability, and enabling new value (e.g., copilots for SQL/data prep, AI-assisted governance, anomaly detection, intelligent recommendations). 

  • Strong experience delivering data visualization experiences in a B2B platform—such as operational dashboards, usage/cost analytics, “data health” and quality views, lineage/impact analysis graphs, and administrator reporting. 

  • Experience integrating or designing alongside BI/analytics ecosystems (e.g., building metadata/lineage integrations with BI and ETL tools, or enabling governed “self-serve” experiences). 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication—able to simplify complex platform topics (data governance, performance, cost, security) for executives and customers. 

  • Strong analytical problem solving and decision-making; comfortable using product analytics and market signals to prioritize. 

  • Desire to work in a fast-paced highly transformational environment 

  • Knowledge of institutional financial services is desired, ideally with experience in buy-side and asset management workflows

    Base salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base salary is only part of the total rewards package, which may include eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive award. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in Company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.
