The Role
Zeta is undergoing a fundamental transformation with Athena - our AI engine - at the core. AthenaOS, the operating system that powers Athena, is evolving Zeta into a modular, AI-native platform delivering a suite of “Impossible Products”, including the next generation of Agentic Applications.
We are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the strategy, architecture, and governance of the Agentic Apps Framework and the ecosystem of certified applications built on AthenaOS. This leader will define how applications are created, managed, moderated, certified, and experienced across the Zeta platform.
This role sits at the intersection of AI, platform architecture, governance, and enterprise application design and will define foundational patterns for years to come.
What You Will Lead1. Vision & Strategy for the Agentic Apps EcosystemYou will define the strategic direction for how agentic applications operate within AthenaOS, shaping standards for how apps are discovered, orchestrated, navigated, integrated, and governed across the platform.
2. Ownership of the AthenaOS Application FrameworkYou will lead the OS-level constructs that underpin all applications in Athena - including:
- Application lifecycle standards
- Cross-application orchestration patterns
- Navigation, layout, and experience primitives
- Role and access inheritance models
- Foundational consistency across the entire suite of apps
You will ensure all apps - human-built or AI-generated - adhere to a unified, enterprise-grade experience.
3. Ecosystem Governance, Certification & ModerationYou will architect and operate an application governance model, including:
- Application certification criteria
- Moderation and review workflows
- Risk, compliance, and privacy boundaries
- Enterprise-grade safety, isolation, and resource-governance standards
- Tooling and processes for app evaluation, approval, and escalation
This includes establishing the rules and systems that safeguard the AthenaOS ecosystem.
4. Primitives & Standards for Modular Capability BuildingYou will define and steward the reusable building blocks required to create high-quality apps, including:
- Modular capability primitives (data, intelligence, activation, workflows)
- Multi-app UX patterns and interaction models
- Enterprise-wide design language and component systems
- Security and privacy guardrails (“shields”)
- Predictable APIs and integration patterns
These primitives become the contract between app developers, the platform, and Athena.
5. AI-Generated / Agentic Application EnablementYou will partner with Athena AI teams to define how applications are assembled, extended, or generated through LLMs, including:
- Model Context Protocol integration
- Representations of app primitives suitable for AI reasoning
- Guardrails for safely generated apps
- Human-in-the-loop validation and automated compliance checks
You will help shape the era where applications are built with or by AI.
6. Cross-Functional Leadership & Ecosystem AlignmentYou will partner with engineering, design, security, privacy, infrastructure, AI research, and GTM leaders to drive cohesive execution.
You will influence executive-level product strategy and ensure alignment across the entire Athena initiative.
- 10+ years of Product Management experience with deep focus on platforms, operating systems, ecosystems, or AI-driven application frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to define governance, certification, or compliance systems at scale
- Strong architectural intuition and systems thinking
- Experience collaborating closely with AI/ML teams on model interfaces, guardrails, or agentic workflows
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with proven cross-functional influence
You will define the next frontier of AI-native enterprise applications - building the substrate upon which Zeta’s “Impossible Products” are delivered. This role shapes the core of AthenaOS and the way thousands of users and developers interact with Zeta’s AI ecosystem.
