Position Overview

We are looking for a Director of Product Analytics to own product analytics at Phil. In this role, you’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, Design, and Operations to uncover insights, monitor performance, and shape decisions that improve the patient and provider experience. You’ll lead deep dives into user behavior, optimize funnels, support experimentation, and help define the metrics that guide our product roadmap. As the first dedicated product analytics hire, you’ll have the opportunity to build foundational practices that influence the direction of our platform and business.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the product analytics strategy aligned with company goals and product roadmap

  • Own key product metrics and proactively identify opportunities to improve conversion, engagement, and operational behavior

  • Conduct deep dive analyses to explain user behavior and inform product decisions

  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to define and track success metrics for new features and initiatives

  • Design and evaluate A/B tests to assess impact and evaluate rollouts

  • Build dashboards and reporting to make data accessible and actionable across the company

  • Develop and maintain clear, trustworthy data definitions and documentation

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive a culture of data-informed decision making

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in product analytics, data science, or related fields

  • Experience analyzing user funnels, cohorts, retention, and product usage

  • Ability to communicate insights clearly and influence product strategy

  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and experimental design

  • Strong SQL skills and comfort working directly with data warehouses and BI tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau, Mixpanel, etc)

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment with cross-functional partners

  • Prior experience in an operations-heavy platform is a plus
