As the leading technology platform for branded resale, we now power circular businesses for 50+ brands globally including Lululemon, The North Face and New Balance.

We are growing our team of highly motivated, forward-thinking individuals to help build the most delightful user experience for shopping used items, and the software to help brands make this a significant part of their business. If this mission speaks to you, come join us as we grow our share of the booming second hand market—projected to grow 3X faster than the overall global apparel market and to hit $350 Billion globally by 2028.

About the Role
We’re hiring a Director of Partnerships to lead our partner strategy and management across recommerce logistics and ecommerce partners to scale our resale businesses. You'll manage critical relationships with 3PLs, shipping, and reverse logistics partners, and high-leverage ecomm technology partners. You’ll be responsible for enabling our growth into new categories and markets while reducing internal and customer costs. This is a senior but hands-on role—perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, is comfortable juggling many projects and ongoing relationships, and can execute independently.

Responsibilities

  • Partnership Strategy: Develop and own the overall partnerships roadmap, with a focus on recommerce logistics, fulfillment, and infrastructure, with the goal of expanding our solutions to cover new resale categories and new markets while reducing the operational cost of our resale businesses.
  • New Partner Selection: Own the selection process for new partners, from requirements gathering, sourcing, introductory discussions, diligence, and contract negotiations. Cultivate relationships with potential future partners that could expand Archive’s ecosystem and unlock co-selling opportunities in the coming years.
  • Partner Management & Optimization: Manage ongoing partner relationships to ensure mutual value, long-term alignment, and measurable business outcomes. Define, track, and enforce partner performance SLAs and identify opportunities to expand the scope of strategic collaborations.
  • Sales and Go-to-Market Enablement: Partner closely with sales team to understand pipeline customer needs. Build a scalable framework for managing 3PL partner selection and co-selling during the customer sales process to drive leads and accelerate pipeline.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a Channel, Partnerships or Vendor Management position
  • A “do-er” with strong negotiation skills who can execute independently
  • Proven track record of sourcing and managing high-impact partnerships, ideally in logistics.
  • Deep understanding of the retail ecosystem, especially within logistics, fulfillment, reverse logistics, and ecommerce.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaborator—able to work fluidly with sales, product, engineering, and legal.
  • A bias for action, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for results.
  • Bonus: Experience working in or with early-stage startups, and comfort in ambiguity and speed.

Compensation varies based on a variety of factors which include (but aren’t limited to) role level, skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, certain roles are eligible for equity as well, and all employees are eligible for a full benefits package including employee and dependent healthcare and 401(k) enrollment. Our team of over 50 employees is currently remote-first, with an office in NYC and optional in-person work for those located in the area. We have company offsites twice a year to bring the full team together in person, and occasional travel is expected as part of the job.

Archive is a Series B company backed by lauded investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, Energize Capital, and Bain Capital Ventures. We prize an inclusive and transparent culture, and remain true to our values in everything we do. We were honored as Fast Company’s #2 Most Innovative Company in Retail in 2024, and continue to challenge ourselves to change consumer shopping behavior for the better.

We consider applicants of all backgrounds. If you are excited about what we’re building but don't meet some of the criteria above, please don’t let that discourage you from applying. Please note, we are unable to accept applications from candidates outside of the US at this time.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
