Director of Performance Marketing

Reports To: VP Strategic Initiatives

Employment Type: Full-time

*Seeking Local candidates only. While the position is primarly remote we do require the team member to come into the Downtown Los Angeles corporate office for occasional onsite meetings. There is no sponsorship available for this position.

About the Role

We’re looking for a digital-first, performance-obsessed Director of Performance Marketing to drive conversion through data, experimentation, and cutting-edge marketing technologies. This role is all about understanding today’s digital landscape—what moves customers, what platforms matter, and how to turn intent into measurable action. You’ll report directly to the VP Strategic Initiatives and play a critical role in optimizing the entire digital marketing funnel—from awareness to acquisition.

Key Responsibilities

· Develop and Execute Performance Marketing Strategies: Lead the creation and implementation of comprehensive performance marketing strategies across various digital channels, including paid search, social media, display advertising, email marketing, and SEO, to drive customer acquisition and revenue growth.

· Optimize Conversion Funnels: Analyze and enhance the customer journey across all digital touchpoints to improve conversion rates, reduce drop-offs, and increase customer lifetime value.

· Leverage Advanced Analytics Tools: Utilize tools such as Google Analytics 4 (GA4), HubSpot, and other analytics platforms to monitor campaign performance, extract insights, and inform data-driven decision-making.

· Implement A/B and Multivariate Testing: Design and conduct experiments to test different versions of website elements, ad creatives, and user flows to identify the most effective strategies for conversion optimization.

· Stay Current with Digital Marketing Trends: Continuously research and adopt emerging digital marketing tools, technologies, and best practices, including AI-driven marketing solutions, to maintain a competitive edge.

· Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the Experience Design Marketing (XDM) team and other departments to ensure cohesive messaging and branding across all marketing channels.

· Develop and Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Establish clear KPIs for all performance marketing initiatives, regularly track progress, and adjust strategies as needed to meet or exceed goals.

· Manage Marketing Budgets: Oversee the allocation and optimization of marketing budgets to ensure maximum return on investment (ROI) and efficient use of resources.

· Conduct Market and Competitor Analysis: Regularly analyze market trends and competitor strategies to identify opportunities for differentiation and growth.

· Report on Performance Metrics: Prepare and present detailed reports on campaign performance, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions.

· May occasionally perform Ad hoc duties as assigned based on the business needs of the company.

Qualifications

· 7+ years in digital or performance marketing roles, ideally with high-growth or tech-driven brands.

· Expertise in managing campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, and other performance channels.

· Proficiency in GA4, HubSpot, and experimentation tools like Optimizely, Google Optimize, or similar.

· Strong understanding of digital consumer behavior and how to optimize journeys for conversion.

· Proven ability to translate complex data into clear insights and actionable strategies.

· Comfort working in fast-paced environments with a bias for testing, learning, and iterating.

· Clear communicator who can distill performance data into compelling stories for leadership and cross-functional teams.

· Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.

Additional Information

This role will be a key player on the XDM team and a trusted partner to the VP Strategic Initiatives. You’ll help define how we scale, optimize what we’ve built, and push performance marketing into what’s next.

All qualified applicants will receive equal consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, religion, sex, pregnancy, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, physical or mental disability, or covered veteran status.
