About the role

The Director, Partner Operations, will be a strategic leader driving the successful execution, optimization, and evolution of high-impact, multi-territory a la carte (ALC) channel launches for our streaming platform. You will oversee end-to-end partner operations and embed scalable practices across partner operations, remediation, and reporting. With expertise in partner management and content delivery ecosystems, this Director will align teams, steer complex global initiatives, and ensure best-in-class partner experiences from launch through sustainment.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the vision and roadmap for a la carte channel launches, including reporting, partner remediation, and lifecycle optimization. Guide launch strategy with an eye toward global scalability and operational efficiency.

  • Team Management: Mentor the Partner Operations team, promoting a high-performing, collaborative culture. Develop career paths, define priorities, and ensure operational excellence.

  • Partner Management: Act as the senior liaison with distribution partners and vendors, shaping expectations, negotiating timelines, and driving alignment across initiatives.

  • Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with Product, Engineering, Content, Legal, Marketing, and external team members to deliver seamless launches across multiple markets and platforms.

  • Performance Visibility: Guide the creation and refinement of dashboards, reporting tools, and KPIs that track launch health, partner performance, and delivery milestones.

  • Operational Oversight: Direct the development of robust launch strategies, risk mitigation strategies, and hypercare workflows to ensure quality delivery and sustained partner success.

  • Process Innovation: Champion continuous improvement efforts to refine workflows, reduce inefficiencies, and build repeatable frameworks that scale with global growth.

  • Executive Communication: Serve as a trusted voice to leadership, delivering clear and concise updates on launch progress, partner performance, operational risks, and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in program management, partner operations, or consulting, with a focus on media, streaming services, or digital content ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of the global streaming landscape, digital supply chain, and content operations from ingestion to distribution.
  • Experience leading large-scale, multi-region streaming service launch efforts with measurable business impact.
  • Experience managing and mentoring diverse, and distributed teams.
  • Experience managing stakeholders with the ability to navigate complex organizational structures and influence senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated success in launching and optimizing partnerships with third-party platforms or distributors.
  • Experience promoting data-driven decision making. Including reporting, and risk assessment skills.
  • Fluent in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Asana, Airtable, Lucidchart, Smartsheet, Excel).
  • Familiarity with CMS, MAM, DAM, and rights management systems.
  • Change agent mindset, with experience leading teams through transformation and operational scale.
  • Global perspective with a commitment to inclusivity, cultural intelligence, and diverse team collaboration.
  • Some experience with OTT/CTV storefront guidelines (e.g., Apple, Roku, Google Play, Amazon).
  • Experience with metadata schema design, artwork packaging, or content delivery spec governance.
  • Knowledge of localization workflows and territory compliance requirements.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and hybrid delivery frameworks.
  • Experience managing vendors, including contract oversight, SLAs, and QA tracking.
  • Experience managing P&L or departmental budget planning and headcount forecasting.
  • Experience working with international partners and navigating content delivery in LATAM, EMEA, MENA or APAC.
  • Bachelor's in Business or comparable education

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees.
