WHO YOU ARE:

A strategic doer and operations expert with the vision to create scalable systems – and the drive to bring them to life.  You’re at your best when bridging strategy with execution, managing complex projects, and turning ambiguity into clarity.  Cross-functional collaboration is your superpower, and you thrive in fast-paced, people-centric environments.  You’re fueled by impact, passionate about efficiency, and know how to lead change that sticks.

HOW YOU BRING OUR MISSION TO LIFE:

In this role, you'll bring structure, clarity, and consistency to how Sky Zone operates across all parks.  From defining operational standards and building our execution model to aligning cross-functional teams and supporting park performance, you’ll be the engine behind how initiatives come to life on the ground.  Your work will directly shape how our parks deliver on Sky Zone’s promise of boundless play – here’s what that looks like:

  • Operational Standards Development: Lead the creation, documentation, communication, and implementation of all operating standards, procedures, and protocols for Sky Zone parks.
  • Establish Execution Model: Develop and set the Sky Zone execution model to ensure consistency, quality, and effectiveness across all parks, aligning with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary contact for all departments, including Marketing, Programs, Safety, Legal, Field Operations, Finance, Training, and Park Readiness, for any initiatives requiring park-level execution.
  • Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve park performance, ensuring alignment with Sky Zone standards.
  • Calendar Management: Oversee the scheduling of all activation points, launches, and business requirements to ensure timely execution and communication across all departments.
  • Documentation and Communication: Ensure all operational standards and processes are clearly documented and communicated to relevant stakeholders, including field operations for both franchise and company-owned parks.
  • Support Park Operations: Provide ongoing support to field operations teams to ensure compliance with standards, efficient processes, and optimal park performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Mentor and develop the Operations Implementation team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA is a plus. Equivalent experience may be considered in place of formal education.
  • 7+ years of experience in operations management, ideally within multi-unit or franchise-based environments, with 2–3 years in Operations Services, Integration, or Implementation roles.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects from concept to execution.
  • Deep understanding of operational processes, standards development, and performance measurement in service-based organizations.
  • Exceptional organizational, project management, and multitasking skills with a sharp eye for detail and follow-through.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities, with experience motivating and managing diverse, high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable collaborating across all levels of the organization.
  • Skilled at documenting processes and translating strategies into actionable, park-level execution plans.
  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguity and guide teams from ideation through implementation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Smartsheet, or similar).
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for park initiatives, launches, rollouts, and training.
  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods during computer-based work, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to move throughout parks for long durations during site visits, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS:

Sky Zone is growing – and fast.  With new programs, activations, and systemwide initiatives launching across the network, we need someone who can build the model, manage the process, and ensure we show up consistently across every park.  This role is critical to ensuring our guests experience the best of our brand, every time and everywhere.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
