With 98% of Whip Around’s revenue generated in the U.S., the Director of Marketing will play a key role in strengthening our presence in a competitive SaaS landscape. This role leads a cross-functional team responsible for driving awareness, generating high-quality leads, and supporting revenue growth through well-executed marketing programs.

You’ll own the marketing strategy and ensure that the value of Whip Around is clearly communicated across all channels—from brand positioning and content to digital campaigns and lead conversion. Your leadership will ensure marketing efforts are data-driven, aligned with sales, and consistently optimized to support business goals.

What you'll be doing:

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Lead, coach, and grow a high-performing marketing team aligned with Whip Around’s culture and capability frameworks.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to build a cohesive commercial engine that drives pipeline and revenue.
  • Collaborate with Product and Sales to craft stories, content, and case studies that set us apart in the market.

Planning & Execution:

  • Build and execute a high-impact field marketing strategy, including tradeshows, regional events, and industry activations.
  • Develop an integrated marketing plan to grow brand awareness and generate high-quality leads.
  • Own the marketing budget, ensuring strategic allocation across demand gen, brand, content, and digital.
  • Track and optimize campaign performance to drive ROI and continuously improve outcomes.

Market & Customer Insight:

  • Leverage customer and market insights to personalize messaging and campaigns across all channels.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and competitor activity to inform our positioning and marketing strategy.
  • Use data to uncover growth opportunities and guide smart, targeted execution.

Strategy & Reporting

  • Own reporting on marketing KPIs—from website traffic to lead conversion to campaign effectiveness.
  • Lead demand generation programs that directly support pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Oversee SEO and PPC performance with agency partners, ensuring spend aligns with growth objectives.
Requirements

Critical competencies:

  • Solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics
  • Strong  ability to build knowledge of the company’s products, competitive products and the market
  • Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and ability to build high performing teams.
  • Great strategic planning, organizational and creative thinking skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate senior leadership knowledge across all aspects of the Marketing team.
  • Highly analytical with experience in a rigorous performance data environment.
  • Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions.
  • You’re motivated, energetic and driven to achieve excellent results as well as helping engage and motivate others in the team.

Experience:

  • 8+ years proven marketing experience in a fast paced SaaS environment,  with at least 5+ of those years in a leadership position 
  • Proven history of working in scaling SaaS organization
  • Experience working with higher volume, small to medium sized deals 
  • Experience with Salesforce (or a similar CRM software) and digital marketing tools and techniques.
  • Track record of leading successful, metrics-proven campaigns, with a deep understanding of the marketing machine - conversion rates, attribution, investment models.
  • Successful track record building lead generation and demand generation process and programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow inbound pipeline through a unified strategy across all available
