WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR: 

Per Scholas is looking for a Director of Marketing focused on Development stakeholders to oversee strategy, storytelling, and marketing initiatives that enhance relationships with funders, donors, and corporate partners. This role will serve as the strategic bridge between our Development and Marketing & Communications teams, crafting campaigns and content that inspire philanthropy, demonstrate impact, and elevate Per Scholas’ brand with key stakeholders.

You are a strategic, creative, and data-informed marketing leader who thrives at the intersection of fundraising and brand storytelling. You understand how to translate impact into powerful narratives that engage funders and drive action. You are equally comfortable developing strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute, with a deep commitment to excellence, collaboration, and mission-driven work.

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 

Lead Development Marketing Strategy

In partnership with the SVP of Marketing and Communications, design and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports fundraising goals and strengthens engagement with foundations, corporations, and individual donors.

Drive Donor Storytelling and Stewardship

Create compelling campaigns, reports, and digital content that effectively communicate impact, celebrate partnerships, and foster deeper donor relationships.

Collaborate Across Functions

Partner closely with Development leadership and integrate across the MarCom team to align marketing and messaging with fundraising priorities and organizational goals.

Oversee Campaigns and Creative Development

Manage production of donor-facing materials across channels email, web, collateral video, social, and events ensuring consistent, high-quality storytelling and brand alignment.

Elevate Fundraising Communications

Lead development of assets such as annual reports, newsletters, event collateral, and thought leadership content tailored for funder audiences.

Support Events and Recognition

Develop marketing materials for donor cultivation and recognition events in partnership with our Events Team.

Measure, Analyze, and Optimize

Track campaign performance, donor engagement metrics, and storytelling effectiveness to inform strategy and continuously improve outcomes.


WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO US

Professional Requirements: 

  • 8–10 years of marketing and communications experience, with a focus on donor, funder, or stakeholder engagement, and 2 - 3 years of supervisor experience. 
  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that support fundraising and relationship-building goals.
  • Deep understanding of donor communications, impact storytelling, and audience segmentation.
  • Strong experience in campaign management and creative development across digital, social, email, earned media , thought leadership, and event channels.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor content to different audiences.
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly Development.
  • Comfort using CRM and marketing tools (Salesforce).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required.

COMPENSATION 

For this role specifically, we are targeting a salary range of $95,000 - $115,000, where the difference in salary is typically determined by several factors, including the geography in which the selected candidate resides and alignment with qualifications and experience.
