Position Summary
The Director of Marketing for Market Access & Reimbursement is responsible for developing and executing various marketing programs and initiatives across the product portfolio in support of Caris’ payer and reimbursement strategy. This position will work closely the Market Access, Policy and Health Economic team, and will lead the marketing and communication efforts related to resource development and tactical execution.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the reimbursement landscape, with a special focus in precision medicine. This candidate should possess a strong track record of success in developing and implementing marketing strategies and deliverables that lead to broad coverage, increasing access to important precision medicine solutions for cancer patients.
Job Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the market access and reimbursement strategy, as well as lead marketing campaigns, tactical development and pull-through activities that address core objectives that lead to favorable access and reimbursement status across the product portfolio.  

  • Develop product value proposition material and value dossiers for payers, integrated delivery networks and employer groups.

  • Partner cross-functionally to define the clinical/economic outcome requirements and  develop relevant and credible Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) messaging.

  • Create strong marketing and communication materials (print, letter, PPT slides, etc.) that communicates the value of Caris solutions to commercial payers and self-insured employers.

  • Develop reimbursement resources to support field sales engagement with key stakeholders including clinicians, administrators and billers.

  • Participate in new product planning discussions to design and create roadmaps for positive coverage determinations.

  • Collaborate closely with Market Access, Policy and Health Economic team to establish metrics, identify areas of growth, quantify impact, etc.

  • Identify relevant trends in market, competition, and technical and societal developments across the healthcare delivery system to strengthen company position and enhance strategy.

  • Translate complex subject matter into easier-to-digest content, while reinforcing key features and benefits.

  • Continue to broaden knowledge base regarding company science, company culture, business, industry and trends.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.

  • 8+ years of marketing experience in healthcare; 4+ years in market access, value, pricing, reimbursement and patient access related-roles.

  • Demonstrated success delivering growth with customized strategy, planning and execution with impactful value propositions/stories to payers and health systems.

  • Strategic thinker who can understand business complexities and develop an innovative and creative customer value proposition and marketing plan pertaining to market access and reimbursement.

  • Effective communicator who is comfortable presenting to a variety of audiences and stakeholders at various levels.

  • Exemplary planning and organizational skills.

  • Dynamic and adaptable project leader with a strong ability to establish processes and drive project execution with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals.

  • Must be well organized and can meet strict deadlines and perform under pressure in a fast-paced work environment.

  • Proficient computer skills, inclusive of strong MS PowerPoint skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA/PhD).

  • Prior experience in oncology.

Training

  • Role specific, safety and compliance training are assigned based on the job functions associated with this employee.

Physical Demands

  • The ability to occasionally lift objects over 20 pounds

  • The ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time

  • Remote position.

  • This position requires periodic travel and some evenings, weekends and/or holidays (medical conventions are typically held over weekends, which this person would be required to attend).

Annual Hiring Range

$170,000 - $190,000

Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The pay ratio between base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
