Job Summary:  

 

The Director, Market Access Marketing will play a pivotal role in shaping Cristcot’s commercial success by driving market access strategy and payer engagement for our first ulcerative colitis (UC) therapy. This role requires a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical payer landscape and the ability to translate complex access dynamics into actionable marketing strategies that drive product uptake and market growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and collaborative partner, working cross-functionally and externally to ensure our UC therapy is positioned for optimal reimbursement and access. 

 

Primary Relationships:

 

  • Within Cristcot: Collaborates closely with Commercial, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Finance, and Sales teams. 
  • Outside Cristcot: Builds and maintains strategic relationships with payers, pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs), integrated delivery networks (IDNs), and market access agencies. Leads stakeholder mapping and engagement plan with key customers aligning with market access team.  

 

The activities of the Director, Market Access Marketing will include, but are not limited to:

 

  • The Director, Market Access Marketing will lead the development and execution of market access strategies, including: 
  • Developing and implementing payer marketing strategies to support product launch, patient affordability strategy and lifecycle management. 
  • Leading payer segmentation, payer value proposition development, and messaging tailored to diverse payer audiences. 
  • Creating tools and resources to support field access teams and payer account managers. 
  • Translating complex reimbursement and access challenges into clear, actionable marketing plans. 
  • Partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of access strategy with brand objectives. 
  • Engaging with external stakeholders to gather insights and foster advocacy for UC treatment access. 
  • Supporting the development of payer-focused materials including AMCP dossiers, value decks, and budget impact models. 
  • Monitoring evolving payer trends, policy changes, and competitive access strategies to inform planning. 
  • Collaborating with HCP marketing and sales leadership to ensure cohesive messaging across stakeholders. 
  • Contributing to brand planning, forecasting, and budget management for market access initiatives. 
  • Support HEOR and evidence generation planning 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD) preferred. 
  • 8+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience, with at least 5 years in market access or payer marketing. 
  • Proven success in developing and executing market access strategies for specialty or biologic therapies. 
  • Strong understanding of buy & bill models, formulary dynamics, and reimbursement pathways. 
  • Experience launching new products in competitive therapeutic areas. 
  • Ability to synthesize complex data and policy into compelling marketing strategies. 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Experience working with agencies and vendors to develop payer marketing materials. 
  • Priority consideration will be given to applicants who reside within the Central and Eastern time zones.
  • Ability to travel up to 30%.
