As Director, Manager Enablement, you will own the global strategy for developing sales managers into coaching‑led, performance‑driven leaders. You’ll design the curriculum, frameworks, and measurement systems that strengthen our leadership bench and directly influence pipeline health, forecast accuracy, quota attainment, and team readiness across every region. This role partners closely with Sales Leadership, Revenue Operations, Human Resources, Product Marketing, and Regional Enablement teams to create a cohesive, scalable, and data‑driven approach to sales management excellence.

What You’ll Do

  • Design a comprehensive leadership curriculum focused on coaching skills, pipeline management, forecasting, performance management, and change leadership.
  • Establish the global operating model for Manager Enablement, including programming cadence, delivery frameworks, and integration points with the broader enablement ecosystem.
  • Develop and drive adoption of a consistent global coaching framework to shift managers from “telling” to “coaching” behaviors.
  • Create observation, feedback, and certification models that reinforce coaching excellence and leadership accountability.
  • Build and deliver flagship programs including new manager onboarding, emerging leader development, and advanced leadership development.
  • Partner with HR to align manager enablement with leadership competencies, talent planning, and succession strategy.
  • Define KPIs that link manager development to outcomes such as quota attainment, pipeline quality, rep ramp time, retention, and engagement.
  • Build reporting mechanisms that demonstrate the ROI of manager enablement to senior leadership and investors.
  • Use field insights and performance data to refine programs and prioritize high‑impact interventions.
  • Partner with Regional Enablement teams to ensure global programs translate effectively at the regional level.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Operations on dashboards, coaching metrics, and performance visibility tools.
  • Work closely with Sales Leadership to align enablement priorities with business strategy and organizational goals.
  • Present strategy, impact, and insights to senior leadership, including C‑suite and board‑level stakeholders.
  • Influence cross‑functional partners around the role of manager enablement in driving scalable revenue growth.

What You Bring

  • Background in sales enablement, leadership development, or a related function within B2B SaaS or technology.
  • Deep expertise in sales coaching methodologies and the ability to design programs that drive measurable behavior change.
  • Demonstrated ability to build, launch, and scale global or enterprise‑level leadership development programs.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to build a net‑new function, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
  • Exceptional communication skills with comfort presenting to executive and board‑level audiences.
  • A data‑driven approach to defining KPIs and demonstrating program impact.
  • Proficiency with enablement platforms, LMS systems, and CRM tools (Seismic and Salesforce preferred).
  • Experience in cybersecurity, PE‑backed organizations, or high‑growth environments is a plus.
  • Familiarity with MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, Sandler, or Value Selling is beneficial.
  • Ability to influence coaching culture and strengthen leadership practices across a global sales organization.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
