Job Description: Director, IT Product Management

We are seeking an experienced and versatile Product Owner to lead our Quantitative Research initiatives across Portfolio Construction, Portfolio Engineering, Investment Risk, and Analytics. As the Product Owner, you will partner with multiple Product Area and Domain leaders across business units, to align strategic priorities. This role involves guiding projects from the research stage through to development, ensuring successful execution and alignment with strategic objectives.

You will drive the strategic execution and sequencing with the Product Area, Domain, and Scrum Leaders; develop, track, and communicate risk assessments to leadership; ensure insight into program process improvements, impediments, and progress to the organization; facilitate the prioritization and removal of organizational impediments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of Quantitative Research initiatives in the areas of Portfolio Construction, Portfolio Engineering, Investment Risk, and Analytics. Develop and track project plans, timelines, and landmarks to ensure strategic alignment and timely delivery.

  • Lead and prioritize backlogs for large teams, ensuring efficient workflow and project alignment with business objectives. Facilitate regular backlog refinement sessions, ensuring clarity and prioritization of tasks.

  • Champion Agile methodologies and adopt tools to enhance team productivity and collaboration including sprint planning, stand-ups, and sprint reviews.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external partners, ensuring clear communication and effective collaboration.

  • Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables. Present project updates to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring all parties are informed of progress and any potential issues.

What You Bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in program management, specifically grooming backlogs for large teams with multiple projects and milestones.

  • Extensive background in Investment Management, with a strong understanding of multi-asset class investment processes in the front office.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and managing complex, multi-year projects allied to deep familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience in implementing Agile practices within large teams.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and stakeholders.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Education:

  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) / Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or equivalent experience in a related field.
