Rue Gilt Groupe is looking for a Director of IT Operations to lead, operate and innovate our network operations, technology support services and supporting programs. As Director of IT Operations you will lead our Network team that is responsible for providing a robust, available and secure Network to support our operations in our Boston HQ, New York City office, Kentucky fulfillment center and remote locations. You will lead our Tech Support Services (TSS) organization that is responsible for providing our 600+ Associates with a positive digital experience to help maximize their productivity. You will direct and guide a Project Management team who establishes and manages OKRs, and drives innovation in the Operations, Infrastructure and Security domains of the Technology functions.
This role is based at our Boston, MA Headquarters and is required to be in the office at least 2 days/week.
What You’ll Do
Leadership
- You will manage, mentor and coach our Technical Support Services (TSS) team, Network Operations team and a Project Management Team, with personnel based in our Boston, New York and Kentucky locations, as well as remotely.
- You will help to build strategy, OKR goals, establish and maintain team metrics and develop paths for team career growth.
- As a Director over people managers, you will help to build a collaborative work environment with empowered managers and provide your team with the tools that drive success by creating, measuring and holding yourself and your team accountable to KPIs.
Operations
- You will lead and partner with cross-functional teams to solve existing technology business challenges and inefficiencies with the goal to strengthen workflows and tools that enable the business to work smart today, scale for the future, and enhance internal user experience.
- You will use your strong understanding of troubleshooting skills of desktop, laptop software and hardware, as well as VPN, networks, access management and security tooling to drive solution-oriented approaches to evaluating and solving existing and anticipated issues.
- You will provide important tech-related communications to the entire organization
Budget and Vendor Management
- You will serve as the primary contact for many of our hardware and software vendors, managing renewals, planning, and negotiation and ensure that the Company is leveraging the best and most efficient tools and solutions on the market.
- This role will manage technical operations budget, tracking expenditures and identifying cost optimization opportunities.
About You
- You have prior experience in an IT leadership role
- You have demonstrated the ability to lead, mentor, and develop IT teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth
- You have strong knowledge of end user computing and networking infrastructure
- MS365 / AD experience
- Mac and PC support experience
- You have proven experience in standardizing processes and procedures, and fostering team cohesiveness and empowerment
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- You have the ability to think strategically and align technology with business goals
- You are a consultative leader and place a strong emphasis on customer service
- You hold your team accountable to providing exemplary customer service
- You have excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
