Smith+Nephew is seeking a Director, IT Business Relationship Management (BRM) to represent our Advanced Wound Management (AWM) business globally. This leadership role is responsible for partnering with senior business stakeholders to identify, shape, and deliver technology strategies that accelerate growth, efficiency, and innovation. The Director will lead a small team of 2–4 Sr. IT Business Analysts, guiding them in developing business cases, quantifying hard and soft benefits, and translating strategic objectives into executable technology roadmaps. This is a business-facing, strategic role—not a technical architecture position. The ideal candidate is a technology generalist with the curiosity to understand emerging technologies, a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder expectations, and a track record of driving value-based outcomes in a global, matrixed environment.

What will you be doing?

 Serve as the strategic IT partner for the Advanced Wound Management (AWM) business unit, aligning digital initiatives to business priorities.

 Lead and mentor a team of 2–4 Sr. IT Business Analysts, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.

 Partner with senior business leaders to define and maintain a multi-year digital roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy and innovation goals.

 Identify opportunities where technology can deliver measurable business value and develop business cases that articulate hard and soft benefits.

 Drive user adoption of new technologies and digital capabilities through change management, communication, and stakeholder engagement.

 Measure and communicate value realization, tracking outcomes against business cases to validate ROI and continuous improvement.

 Act as a platform liaison for solutions such as Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud, CPQ, Agentforce, Model N, and AI-driven platforms.

 Collaborate with delivery and architecture teams to ensure solutions meet business requirements and deliver intended outcomes.

 Champion the use of Agile practices, promoting iterative delivery, stakeholder feedback, and continuous improvement.

 Communicate technology strategies, project progress, and realized business value clearly to executive and functional leadership.

 Promote innovation and the adoption of emerging technologies to improve productivity, customer engagement, and operational efficiency.

Location: Andover, MA, Memphis, TN, Pittsburgh, PA, Fort Worth, TN, US/Remote

Education: Undergraduate Degree

Licenses/ Certifications: (Preferred but not required)

 Certified Business Relationship Manager (CBRM) or BRMP

 Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-ACP

 Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO)

 Salesforce Administrator, Business Analyst, or Platform App Builder Certification

What will you need to be successful?  7+ years in IT strategy, Business Relationship Management, or Sales Enablement.

 Strategic Leadership: Develops and executes multi-year technology roadmaps that drive measurable business outcomes.

 Stakeholder Management: Builds credibility and trust with senior leaders; effectively manages expectations and priorities.

 Value-Driven Mindset: Focused on tangible business results—business case creation, user adoption, and value realization tracking.

 People Leadership: Inspires and coaches high-performing teams; promotes accountability, development, and collaboration.

 Technology Fluency: Understands enterprise platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Microsoft, AI, web portals) and how they enable key business capabilities.

 Innovation & Change Leadership: Champions modernization, digital transformation, and adoption in complex global environments.

 Communication Excellence: Skilled at simplifying technical topics and articulating business value to executive audiences.

 Business Acumen: Deep understanding of business processes and commercial operations within the medical device or healthcare industry.
