Job Description:

The Managed Accounts investment product team is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing a diverse set of investment products and solutions across Fidelity. You will join Fidelity’s asset management business, reporting to the Vice President, Managed Account Investment Product for Strategic Advisers. In this role, you will work closely with teams across asset management and Fidelity’s distribution channels to support the development and ongoing management of Fidelity’s advice offerings. Your focus will be on products distributed through institutional channels, including workplace retirement plans and financial intermediaries, and you will help contribute to Fidelity’s rapid growth of advisory and managed solutions in the marketplace. We are seeking candidates who want to lead large, impactful projects in an organization that values collaboration, creative problem-solving, and an unwavering commitment to our customers.

Primary Responsibilities

The Director responsibilities include the following:

  • Partner with leaders across the company on initiatives that introduce innovative new capabilities and improve solutions for our customers

  • Collaborate closely with various internal teams to help drive product positioning, product marketing, and product development

  • Provide subject matter expertise for our institutional advice offerings for relationships across workplace and independent advisers

  • Support distribution teams by answering complex client and prospect inquires related to the investment methodology underpinning our solutions

  • Coordinate delivery of key initiatives that bring together distribution sales/service partners, investment managers, and technology delivery teams

  • Lead ongoing project reporting for senior leaders and partner to provide updates on project implementation

  • Drive development and prioritization of the strategic roadmap while influencing business partners to take action on new initiatives

  • Represent the investment process, investment philosophy, and portfolio construction process to assist in creating key collateral for a new product launch (e.g. representative training, external thought leadership, etc)

  • Provide ongoing product support through ongoing dialogue with portfolio managers, distribution channel partners, marketing and thought leadership teams, technology teams, and others

Education and Experience

  • Ten (7+) plus years of financial services experience, preferably in product management, product development, and/or product strategy roles.

  • Experience with investment products and asset classes, including multi-asset-class solutions and managed accounts

  • MBA or other advanced degree, strongly preferred

  • Industry certifications and/or accreditations encouraged (e.g. CFA, CFP, etc)

Skills and Knowledge

  • Interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with individuals from different functional areas and varying levels of experience

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communication, and to logically present sophisticated proposals, issues, and arguments to key partners and senior leaders

  • Analytical and data-driven, with strong organizational abilities and problem-solving skills that can help find creative solutions to complex problems

  • Project management abilities with a history of successfully driving progress on key initiatives while coordinating and aligning critical dependencies

  • Proactive identification of critical issues, potential resolution plans, and quick decisioning

  • Familiarity and comfort with technology concepts and trading architectures for financial services / managed accounts

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$169,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.

We also value the benefits that working offsite offers associates. Most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite every other week (all business days, M-F) in a Fidelity office.
