Mission statement
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate Director, North America Institutional Sales to drive Keyrock’s institutional initiatives in the North America region, focusing on expanding our institutional client base in the digital asset space. Reporting to the Head of Institutional Sales, you will spearhead strategic initiatives with VCs, Asset Managers, Private Wealth and other institutions to grow regional revenues through OTX spot trading, financing and derivative products that include options, futures, and structured products. This role requires deep expertise in sales & trading, financing, digital assets, derivatives, and a proven track record in sales as an Individual Contributor

Job description

  • Sales Strategy & Execution

    • Implement the sales strategy developed by Keyrock’s Head of Institutional Sales and Chief Commercial Officer for OTC spot, derivatives and structured products, and expand our financing portfolio with institutional clients

    • Identify and qualify high-value leads based on strategic fit, revenue potential, and market alignment.

    • Drive end-to-end sales processes, from prospecting to deal closure –supported by our CCO and Head of Institutional Sales– ensuring alignment with Keyrock’s institutional sales objectives.

  • Client Relationship Management

    • Build and maintain trusted, long-term relationships with clients by understanding their goals and delivering tailored investment and financing solutions.

    • Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring seamless communication and high client satisfaction.

    • Proactively address client challenges, leveraging internal teams to resolve issues and strengthen partnerships.

  • Product Expansion & Innovation

    • Collaborate with trading, product, and technology teams to design bespoke solutions involving derivatives and structured products..

    • Identify and activate opportunities for cross-selling.

    • Stay ahead of industry trends, regulatory developments, and blockchain innovations to ensure offerings remain competitive.

  • Market Analysis & Insights

    • Develop risk-return models to support strategic recommendations and decision-making.

    • Provide actionable insights to internal stakeholders to enhance product development and market positioning.

  • Team Collaboration & Leadership

    • Work closely with Corporate and Institutional Sales team colleagues to help market and recommend client strategy proposals.

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including structuring, compliance, legal, and engineering, to ensure seamless delivery of investment and financing solutions.

    • Represent Keyrock at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to enhance brand visibility in the region.

Background and experience

  • 7+ years of experience in institutional sales within financial services, with at least 2+ years in digital assets sales.

  • Extensive knowledge of OTC sales & trading, financing and derivatives (options, futures, structured products) and blockchain ecosystems.

  • Proven track record as an Individual Contributor of successfully engaging with VCs, Hedge Funds and/or private wealth, and of closing complex deals.

  • Strong institutional network in both crypto and traditional finance sectors.

  • Familiarity with trading concepts, market-making algorithms, and financial analysis tools.

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are a plus.

  • Crypto Enthusiast: Passionate about digital assets, DeFi, and the tokenized economy.

  • Strategic Thinker: Able to synthesize complex information and align sales strategies with long-term business goals.
