Postion Overview
The Director II, UX Research will work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Strategically design, plan, and execute user research studies and analyze behavioral metrics to paint a complete picture of our users to drive design decisions and roadmap priorities. This role requires a proven track record of user research strategy and execution using a deep toolbox of methodologies to explore behavior, workflow and motivations of our users. Passion for understanding the future of grocery shopping and can play a role in guiding the team.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities
UX Strategy and Vision:
o Develop and execute comprehensive research strategies aligned with business goals in the grocery industry.
o Lead and mentor a high-performing team of UX researchers, promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
o Synthesize research findings into actionable insights that inform product development and enhance customer satisfaction.
o Advocate for user-centered design principles across the organization and influence product decisions with evidence-based recommendations.
o Communicate research insights effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through engaging presentations and reports.
o Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices in UX research to drive innovation.
Forecasting Insights:
o Collect and analyze data from various sources.
o Identify patterns and trends in the data to synthesize for the Product team.
o Prepare statistical reports, tables, and graphs.
o Present findings and recommendations Product leadership.
o Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate data analysis.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
o Lead and mentor a team of UX researchers, while also working with and mentoring product managers, developers, and other cross-functional team members.
o Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture that encourages creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
o Coordinate with partners across brand success, insights, marketing, customer support, and other departments to ensure alignment and successful product launches.
o A strong storyteller.

Qualifications• 15+ years of UX research experience, with a focus on the grocery or retail sectors.• 7+ years of management experience, guiding teams and fostering professional development.• Strong strategic mindset with proven ability to align research initiatives with long-term business objectives.• Outstanding communication and storytelling skills for diverse audiences.• Solid understanding of customer experience principles and modern technologies relevant to grocery retail.• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively across departments.• Experience in research across native apps.• Experience in both customer and associate facing research.
IL Salary Range: $185,840 - $278,760
