CNO Financial Group’s Human Resource Department is hiring a Director, HR Business Partner to provide advisory and consultative services to business leaders on people-related issues. In this role, you will shape the nature of delivery of HR services by leveraging a deep understanding of the business environment and organizational strategy.

As a Director, HR Business Partner, you will collaborate across the HR function to deliver the right mix of solutions that best support the needs of the business.

As a Director, HR Business Partner, your responsibilities will include:

  • Functioning as the key HR strategic partner working with business leadership teams to develop and execute:
    • Critical business and organizational strategies.
    • Strategic workforce plans.
    • Proactive employee engagement initiatives.
  • Serving as a credible coach and confidante.
  • Providing guidance on organizational development, including organizational analysis and design, strategy, structure and key processes to support organizational/business needs.
  • Advising on talent management, development and succession planning to ensure the right talent capabilities and bench strength are developed to support the business.
  • Leading and advising on change management strategies to drive successful transformation and ensure alignment across the business.
  • Develop and execute HR plans, processes, and programs aligned with business objectives
  • Serve as expert in change management processes to positively impact organizational effectiveness.
  • Coaches and advises on appropriate total rewards strategies, programs, and tools to enhance organizational performance and employee engagement
  • Leads/supports human capital Enterprise projects as needed

The Director, HR Business Partner position is well-suited for you if you:

  • Possess strong skills/experience in HR business partnering.
  • Are a demonstrated strategic thinker with a track record of delivering proven, measurable results for managing change.
  • Have strong talent management, leadership development, performance management, and organizational development experience.
  • Prior experience in multiple HR functions, to include Employee Relations and Compensation.
  • Are successful in creating an environment of trust with business leaders where integrity is unquestioned; can effectively utilize negotiation and conflict resolution skills when needed.
  • Analyze HR metrics for use in developing goals and driving key business strategies and objectives.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, influencing and communications skills with all levels of the organization required.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure business compliance.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field.
  • Requires a minimum of ten years of experience in HR with a minimum of five years of related experience.

What will set you apart:

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • SPHR/SHRM certificate preferred.
  • Candidate location in Central or Eastern US time zone is preferred OR willingness to work Central or Eastern time zone business hours.

Associates who live outside of a 60-mile radius of a corporate office (Birmingham, Carmel, Chicago, Orlando and Milwaukee) may perform this role full-time work from home (WFH) from any US based location, as long as you are willing to work central or eastern time zone hours.  

All associates may be asked to travel to varying corporate offices periodically.  Work cannot be performed from outside of the United States.

Compensation

Pay Range: $140,600.00 - $211,000.00 Annual
