DIRECTOR, GROWTH STRATEGY

Fidelity’s Emerging Business unit leverages Fidelity’s deep expertise in workplace benefits to design innovative solutions for some of America’s most pressing personal finance issues. Student debt is one of the most significant financial challenges facing millions of Americans today. Our Student Debt team has designed a suite of innovative benefits for employers that help their employees to better understand, avoid, and pay down student debt. Today, many of Fidelity’s workplace clients use student debt benefit to support employee retention and financial wellness.

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated Director, Growth Strategy to join the Student Debt Product Area. This role will work alongside product area leadership to define near and long term strategic objectives and roadmap aligned with market opportunity, impact potential and business objectives. You’ll take a leading role in understanding and mapping market dynamics, identifying and vetting growth opportunities, and driving implementation. You’ll define and lead targeted client engagement strategies to build satisfaction and support benefit expansion and retention. You’ll also develop clear and compelling narratives around Student Debt strategy, performance and impact, and align cross-functional stakeholders around a shared vision. The Expertise You Have

· 10+ years of experience in consulting, growth strategy, or product strategy

· Experience working in a matrixed, cross-enterprise / business unit environment

· Experience growing a new product, brand or business in B2B environments

· Financial services and/or management consulting experience preferred

· MBA or equivalent strategic training is a plus

· Proven ability to frame opportunities and challenges to drive decisions and make business cases for change

· Excellent project leadership and organization skills; proven ability to drive projects forward and demonstrate results

· Excellent communication and storytelling skills; proven ability to distill complex topics into digestible, powerful narratives. Experience creating and delivering executive communications

· Deep experience navigating cross-functional teams and leaders, and aligning and influencing stakeholders around a common vision

· Comfort with ambiguity, complexity, innovation and change

· Desire to join an accountable, multifaceted, and collaborative team of growth strategists, marketers, salespeople, and product leaders. You’ll put your stamp on our business while also learning from your skilled teammates.

The Value You Deliver

· Support development of near and long term product area strategy, objectives and roadmap

· Conduct benchmarking and landscape analysis to inform strategic direction (competitive, regulatory, market)

· Identify and evaluate new growth opportunities for Student Debt aligned with long term vision

· Identify and assess strategic partnership opportunities

· Build business cases to support investment decisions

· Develop and execute targeted strategies that engage existing customers around benefit value

· Develop clear, compelling data driven narratives around product area priorities, progress and impact

· Lead key governance routines and executive communications; evangelize mission and work to promote awareness, buy in and collaboration

The base salary range for this position is $110,000-222,000 USD per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
