Helion is the nation’s largest Managed IT, cybersecurity, compliance, and technology enablement provider dedicated exclusively to the automotive and heavy truck dealership industry. For nearly 30 years, we’ve helped dealerships leverage technology to improve operations, strengthen cybersecurity, ensure regulatory compliance, enable AI adoption, and maximize the value of their technology investments.

Today, Helion supports more than 2,000 dealerships and over 35,000 dealership employees across the United States. As we enter our next phase of growth, we’re looking for an exceptional marketing leader to help expand our market presence, accelerate demand generation, and strengthen our position as the technology leader in the dealership industry.

Position Overview

We’re looking for a hands-on marketing leader who thrives on building, executing, and continuously improving marketing programs that generate measurable business results.

This is not a role focused solely on strategy—it’s for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, leading execution, leveraging AI, and using data to make smarter marketing decisions.

Success in this role comes from building a scalable, modern marketing engine. While the Director of Growth Marketing will personally execute many initiatives, they will also leverage AI and manage a network of specialized partners—including designers, developers, SEO specialists, videographers, writers, and other agencies—to efficiently deliver world-class marketing at scale.

Reporting directly to the President, this leader will own Helion’s marketing strategy and execution, driving brand awareness, demand generation, customer engagement, and measurable revenue growth.

  • Serve as the primary administrator for HubSpot CRM and Marketing Hub.
  • Own marketing operations including lead lifecycle management, segmentation, automation, workflows, lead scoring, attribution, and nurturing campaigns.
  • Maintain exceptional CRM data quality through ongoing cleansing, duplicate management, enrichment, and governance.
  • Build dashboards and executive reporting that provide actionable insights into marketing performance and sales pipeline.
  • Analyze conversion rates throughout the buyer journey and continuously improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Partner with Sales to improve lead routing, qualification, reporting, and overall revenue operations.

Digital Marketing & Organic Growth

  • Own Helion’s digital strategy, website experience, and online presence.
  • Develop and execute strategies across SEO (Search Engine Optimization), AEO (Answer Engine Optimization), GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), and AI search visibility.
  • Improve website conversion rates through user experience optimization, landing pages, forms, and content architecture.
  • Analyze website performance and visitor behavior using analytics tools to improve engagement and lead generation.
  • Manage email marketing campaigns, landing pages, forms, and digital assets within HubSpot.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve Helion’s digital footprint and online authority.

AI & Marketing Innovation

  • Identify and implement AI tools that improve marketing efficiency, personalization, content creation, analytics, and campaign performance.
  • Build scalable AI-assisted marketing workflows that increase productivity and reduce manual effort.
  • Stay ahead of emerging AI, search, and digital marketing trends.
  • Evaluate new technologies and recommend innovative approaches that strengthen Helion’s competitive advantage.

Content, Branding & Thought Leadership

  • Develop and oversee a comprehensive content strategy including blogs, white papers, customer success stories, videos, webinars, executive thought leadership, research reports, email campaigns, and social media.
  • Expand Helion’s thought leadership throughout the dealership industry.
  • Develop executive branding initiatives, including LinkedIn strategy and employee advocacy programs.
  • Ensure brand consistency across every customer interaction and marketing channel.
  • Increase Helion’s visibility through strategic partnerships, speaking opportunities, industry publications, webinars, and other high-value awareness initiatives.

Marketing Leadership & Execution

  • Build a scalable marketing function that combines direct execution, AI, automation, and specialized external partners.
  • Determine which work should be completed internally, automated through AI, or outsourced to maximize efficiency and results.
  • Develop clear creative briefs, project requirements, and AI prompts that enable internal and external resources to deliver exceptional work.
  • Maintain quality, messaging, and brand consistency across all marketing initiatives.
  • Continuously evaluate marketing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

Vendor & Agency Management

  • Build and manage a high-performing network of external marketing partners including web developers, SEO specialists, designers, videographers, copywriters, PR firms, advertising agencies, and AI service providers.
  • Establish project priorities, monitor deliverables, and hold partners accountable for measurable business results.
  • Evaluate new vendors and emerging technologies that improve marketing performance.
  • Manage the marketing budget and recommend investments based on measurable ROI.

Industry Engagement

  • Identify, evaluate, and maximize Helion’s participation in industry conferences, trade shows, webinars, strategic partnerships, and speaking opportunities to increase brand awareness, generate demand, and strengthen industry relationships.

  • HubSpot, Google Analytics, or related marketing certifications.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field required.

Success in This Role

Success will be measured by meaningful business outcomes, including:

  • Marketing-generated pipeline and revenue
  • Sales-qualified opportunities
  • Organic website traffic and search visibility
  • AI search visibility and authority
  • Website conversion rates
  • Marketing campaign ROI
  • Brand awareness and thought leadership
  • Executive and company LinkedIn growth and engagement

Who You Are

The ideal candidate is a builder.

You enjoy creating systems that scale, solving complex problems, and finding better ways to generate growth. You’re equally comfortable analyzing marketing metrics, building HubSpot workflows, leveraging AI, directing agencies, and presenting strategic recommendations to executive leadership.

You’re naturally curious, embrace new technologies, and continuously seek opportunities to improve. You take ownership, move quickly, and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Most importantly, you understand that great marketing isn’t measured by activity—it’s measured by business results
