Tomorrow.io’s Government Business Development Team enables nations to manage risk faster than the speed of weather.

We partner with governments, ministries, and international organizations to strengthen food security, climate resilience, and disaster preparedness through next-generation weather, climate, and impact forecasting technologies.

As Director of Government Sales - Agriculture & Disaster Management, you will lead Tomorrow.io’s public-sector engagement across agriculture, water, and disaster resilience. You will drive partnerships with Ministries of Agriculture, National Disaster Management Agencies, Meteorological and Hydrological Services, and International Donor Programs to advance climate-smart agriculture, early warning systems, and community resilience initiatives.

You will own the full sales cycle, from strategy and market development to execution and quota attainment, while representing Tomorrow.io at the highest levels of government and the development community.

What you’ll do:
  • Up to 25% domestic and international travel to meet with customers, partners, and government stakeholders.
  • Manage the end-to-end aviation and maritime sales cycle, from prospecting to closing multi-year public-sector contracts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with Ministries of Agriculture, Disaster Management Agencies, Meteorological Services, and International Donors.
  • Lead channel and partner management, expanding Tomorrow.io’s reach in key markets.
  • Manage RFPs, tenders, and donor-funded programs (FAO, IFAD, World Bank, ADB, UNDP, etc.).
  • Represent Tomorrow.io at agriculture, resilience, and climate events worldwide.
  • Work cross-functionally to tailor solutions for climate-smart agriculture, early warning, and resilience programs.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
What you bring:
  • Fluency in English. Additional languages are a plus.
  • 10+ years of government or institutional sales experience.
  • Proven success selling to public-sector or enterprise customers, ideally in SaaS, data, or technology solutions; experience in agriculture, environment, or disaster management sectors is highly valued.
  • Knowledge of climate-smart agriculture, early warning systems, and disaster risk reduction frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tenders and multi-stakeholder donor programs.
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships with ministries, NGOs, and international organizations.
  • Consistent record of quota achievement and data-driven pipeline management.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, start-up or growth-stage environment.
  • Self-motivated, strategic, and mission-driven, with strong ownership and results focus.

So if you are excited by the prospect of working with a new, game-changing technology while owning sales strategy for an entire global region, this team is for you!

If your experience is close but doesn’t fulfill all requirements, please apply. Tomorrow.io  is on a mission to build a special company. To achieve our goal, we are focused on hiring people with different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
