Mimecast's Global Partner Marketing team is looking for a Director, Global Partner Marketing to own and grow the global team within Mimecast’s channel marketing function. This is a high-visibility, strategic role at the heart of Mimecast’s channel transformation responsible for how the company communicates with, enables, and activates the broadest layer of its partner ecosystem across TO-partner and THRU-partner motions. You will build a team and a framework that turns Mimecast’s partner base into an active, capable, and motivated revenue channel.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead a team member that would own the TO-partner motion: partner communications, webinars, product launch enablement, partner portal and content strategy, and engagement and hospitality programs.
  • Lead a team member that would own Partner experience: create and maintain a marketing hub within the PRM/TCM, own MDF Portal and partner concierge, partnr marketing operations.
  • Own the THRU-partner motion: strategic campaigns framework, ABM plays, ready-to-use demand gen toolkits, co-branded programs, call-out days, and MSP and reseller marketing programs.
  • Drive campaign localization in partnership with regional Growth teams, and maintain continuous performance reporting across the partner base.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Alliances, Growth, Partner Program, Channel Sales, Product Marketing, and Field Marketing teams.
  • Represent the Scale pillar in senior stakeholder conversations with clear visibility on strategy, progress, and impact.

What You'll Bring:

  • 7+ years in partner marketing, channel marketing, or a closely related field with hands-on experience across TO-partner enablement and THRU-partner demand generation.
  • Demonstrated experience building multi-touch demand gen campaigns through the channel, including ABM, co-branded programs, and partner toolkits.
  • Strong people leadership skills with a track record of developing teams and driving accountability.
  • Excellent communicator — able to write compelling partner-facing content and present strategy confidently to senior leadership.
  • Highly organized and process-driven, with the ability to manage multiple global workstreams simultaneously.
  • Data-driven approach to performance, decision-making, and business impact storytelling.
  • Background in cybersecurity or enterprise SaaS strongly preferred.
  • Experience with MDF programs, partner portals, and partner co-marketing budgets is a plus.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-ambiguity environments where transformation is ongoing.

The base salary range for this position is $156,000−$234,000 plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
