About This Role

The Director, Global Insights Lead, Lupus role plays a vital part in shaping the direction of the business and contributing to brand success. It directly supports the Pipeline PDC team focused on the lupus pipeline across multiple indications, providing critical insights for informed decisions, allowing for competitive positioning, and driving strategic initiatives based on a data-driven approach.

You will be a strategic thought partner to the PDC team and other key stakeholders in identifying opportunities based on a deep understanding of customer groups, market archetypes, and competitive landscapes. You will work across large datasets using statistical methods and advanced data analytics tools to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations. Ultimately this role will serve to support all insights generation requirements both pre-launch and LCM opportunities as relevant. 

What You’ll Do

Insights Generation & Strategic partnership

  • Analyze and interpret multiple data sources, including market research, surveys, social media listening, and non-structure raw data points, transforming them into valuable information to help deepen the understanding of customer groups – including their pain points and expectations –, market and competitive trends, and identifying business opportunities to support decision-making

  • Engage as a thought partner to the PDC leads and other senior stakeholders and translate complex data findings into clear and actionable insights that can guide decision-making, support strategy development to improve business outcomes, and help more patients get treatment access

  • Utilize advanced statistical methods and predictive modeling to enhance the depth and accuracy of insights

  • Ensure a solid understanding of the business, customer groups, market dynamics, and overall competitive landscape

  • Cultivate relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding the different market realities and adapting insights generation accordingly.

  • Align metrics and appropriate tracking for brand and execution initiatives to ensure insights gathering learnings loops

  • Streamline the Insights generation process by coordinating information gathering and analytical processes across all markets and coach local teams on implementing their insight generation activities

  • Provide input to creating reporting and data visualization to communicate insights effectively to relevant stakeholders, including senior leadership

Market Research & Competitive Insight

  • Lead Market research in close collaboration with PDC leads, identifying knowledge gaps to support its design and delivery

  • Lead Competitive Insights Process, translating data and information into Insights and sharing them frequently and broadly with the relevant stakeholders

  • Coordinate Customer and Patient Insights generation through Market Research, Social Listening, digitally generated data, and other internal and external sources of information

  • Advise and share broadly Insights generation based on Customer and Patient journey mapping and respective pain points and areas of opportunity

Driving capabilities and continuous improvement

  • Liaise with PDC leads and key senior stakeholder members to align on critical business priorities and collaborate with relevant functions in CE&O and IT to develop capabilities to support Insights generation

  • Stay updated on advancements in analytics tools and methodologies and evaluate and drive implementation of new technologies to improve the insights generation process

  • Identifying opportunities to enhance data collection methods, improve data quality, and refine analytical approaches to ensure ongoing effectiveness

  • Act as a Project Leader or Project Manager in TA or Functional critical projects

  • Foster experience exchange and learning loops through internal community engagement, creating opportunities to nurture and support new ideas and showcase best practices and market trends

Required Qualifications

  • BA/BS required

  • 10+ years strategic consulting experience in Pharma / Biotech / Medical Device industry or relevant experience

  • Demonstrates solid experience in patient journey mapping and customer prescription journey as a source of Insights generation

  • Proven track record of planning and delivering Insights generation activities across the product life cycle

  • Solid experience in market research planning, delivery, and end-to-end operation, including a deep understanding of legal and compliance requirements

  • Highly collaborative – must be able to navigate and manage the needs of multiple stakeholders, advise Senior Leadership, and lead large international programs

  • Strong communication skills, particularly executive presentation skills

  • Previous experience in working in Affiliate and (desired) Regional roles

  • Experience planning, negotiating, and allocating resources, including outside spending across a portfolio of brands

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience in immunology

    Additional Information

    The base compensation range for this role is: $195,000.00-$268,500.00


    Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
