We are looking for a Director, Global Events to lead the execution of Drug Hunter’s global event program across in-person, digital, and sponsored experiences. Reporting to the Head of Scientific Growth (Marketing), this senior individual-contributor role will oversee the customer and speaker experience across symposia, mixers, dinners, Flash Talks, scientific conferences, sponsorships, and Sales tabletop events.

The Director will partner closely with Sales, Science, and Marketing to ensure events are well executed, support commercial priorities, and deliver a consistently high-quality experience.

Key Responsibilities

Hosted Events & Customer Experience

  • Lead end-to-end execution of Drug Hunter-hosted symposia, mixers, and dinners.
  • Manage the full attendee journey, including registration, communications, vendors, logistics, on-site experience, and organizing follow-up needed.
  • Partner with Sales to operationalize invite and attendance strategies while ensuring a high-quality customer experience.
  • Own event budgets, vendor management, and execution against established event plans.
Conferences, Sponsorships & Sales Event Support
  • Coordinate Sales and Science team attendance at 40+ scientific conferences annually, including registration, internal coordination, and supporting marketing actions (note no exhibits/booths currently planned).
  • Manage Drug Hunter sponsorships, including attendance planning, registrations, sponsor deliverables, promotional coordination, and event readiness.
  • Work with Sales team admin to support Sales team site visits revolving around events, sponsorships, conferences, etc.
Flash Talk Digital Series
  • Oversee logistics for Drug Hunter’s digital Flash Talk series, including speaker coordination, scheduling, communications, and platform readiness.
  • Ensure registration, attendance, and follow-up activity are integrated into HubSpot.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing to improve follow-up workflows and the overall attendee experience.

Event Operations & SOPs

  • Maintain the annual event calendar and ensure key activities, deadlines, and ownership are clearly documented.
  • Ensure events and attendee activity are consistently tracked in HubSpot.
  • Build and maintain SOPs, templates, and repeatable processes that support consistent execution across the event portfolio.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the customer experience.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in event management, field marketing, experiential marketing, or a related function.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex in-person and digital event programs.
  • Exceptional organization, project management, and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer-service orientation with a high bar for attendee and speaker experience.
  • Experience managing budgets, vendors, sponsorships, and event logistics.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills and ability to partner effectively with Sales and technical or scientific teams.
  • Experience with HubSpot or a comparable CRM/marketing automation platform.
  • Life sciences, biotech, pharma, or scientific event experience strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable traveling for Drug Hunter-hosted symposia and mixers (~30% domestic & international)
