How You Will Make an Impact

The Global Director of Early Talent Recruiting will architect and lead the transformation of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s global Early Talent strategy. This leader owns the design and evolution of the end-to-end Early Talent ecosystem — including university relations, internships, employer brand, regional expansion, and intern-to-full-time conversion — ensuring scalable, future-ready pipelines aligned to enterprise workforce strategy.

Partnering closely with Talent Management, HR, Finance, and TA leaders, this role will modernize how we attract, engage, and convert early career talent globally. The Director serves as a strategic advisor to senior leadership, leveraging data, market intelligence, and operational rigor to drive measurable business impact and long-term capability strength.

What You Will DoEnterprise Strategy & Transformation
  • Design and execute a forward-looking global Early Talent strategy spanning University Relations, Internships, Employer Branding, Regional Expansion, and LDP/GM-LDP recruiting.

  • Build scalable governance frameworks, KPIs, dashboards, and operating rhythms that enable enterprise visibility and accountability.

  • Lead organizational evolution of the Early Talent function, driving standardization, modernization, and continuous improvement across regions.

  • Partner with HRBPs, Finance, and TA leaders to align early talent investments with AOP, workforce planning, and long-term capability priorities.

University & Pipeline Modernization
  • Reimagine and implement a globally consistent University Relations strategy, including optimized school portfolios, strategic faculty partnerships, and data-driven campus engagement models.

  • Elevate Thermo Fisher’s employer brand through integrated campus and digital strategies, leveraging platforms such as Handshake, LinkedIn, and region-specific channels.

Internship & Conversion Strategy
  • Design and scale a globally consistent internship framework that strengthens experience quality, performance rigor, and retention outcomes.

  • Lead the enterprise Intern-to-FTE Conversion strategy, integrating headcount planning, standardized evaluations, streamlined offer workflows, and structured engagement to improve conversion and readiness.

Leadership Development Program Recruiting
  • Own recruiting strategy and execution for LDP and GM-LDP programs in partnership with Talent Management, ensuring strong alignment between program design and enterprise capability needs.

Global Expansion & Innovation
  • Build and activate regional Early Talent playbooks across EMEA, LATAM, and APAC, balancing global standards with local market strategy.

  • Pilot and scale innovative and nontraditional talent pathways aligned to evolving business demands.

  • Oversee early talent technologies and vendor ecosystems, driving optimization, analytics maturity, and digital enablement.

How You Will Get HereEducation
  • Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience
  • 8+ years of Talent Acquisition experience.

  • 5+ years leading Early Talent and University Relations within a global organization.

  • Demonstrated experience building or transforming early talent programs at scale.

  • Experience in multinational, matrixed environments preferred.

  • Experience with Workday, Phenom People, or similar recruiting technologies preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across regions.

  • Strong executive presence and stakeholder influence skills.

  • Demonstrated success building scalable, data-driven talent strategies aligned to workforce planning.

  • Expertise in governance design, operational excellence, and process modernization.

  • Deep understanding of early career employer branding and digital engagement.

  • Vendor management and technology optimization capabilities.

  • Ability to travel as needed.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Massachusetts is $160,100.00–$220,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
