The Director of Franchise Sales identifies candidates for franchise ownership, builds the sales function, strategies, and assists candidates through the purchasing process.
Our client in the Florida area is looking for an experienced and motivated sales professional to join the team! The Director of Franchise Sales will be responsible for identifying sources of candidates that can qualify to become franchise owners for our client's concepts. In addition, the Director of Franchise Sales will help build the sales function, department, strategy and assist prospective franchise owners through the quality decision process of purchasing a franchise.
Responsibilities
- Develop sources and compile lists of future franchise owners
- Source new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls and emails, as well as incoming lead follow-up
- Search through market data to identify competing key players
- Prospect, generate leads, deliver presentations and close new franchise sales
- Identify quality candidates and counsel with the candidate to walk them through a quality decision process. Assist in financially qualifying prospective franchise owners
- Conduct or assist in the presentation of the advantages, benefits and salable features of owning a franchise
- Travel as required to assigned trade shows to call on and meet with future franchise owners local and international markets
Experience
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Certified Franchise Executive (CFE) designation preferred.
- 5+ years' experience building and scaling successful franchise systems for leading franchise brands.
- Detailed knowledge of the principles and strategies for building successful franchise systems.
- Strong understanding of leasing programs.
- Outstanding organizational skills and ability to manage all documentation and legal agreements relating to a franchise system.
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
- Superior business case modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Creative strategist. Developing new ways to drive Franchise sales and value to existing and perspective franchise partners.
- Good phone skills
- Extroverted personality and the ability to work in a sales environment.
- Personality and behavioral characteristics that provide for an even handed approach to problem resolution. Ability to handle rejection
