The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA) preferred.
- Experience with startups or early stage, small organizations.
- Experience with diverse accounting functions, including financial statement preparation and transactional management.
- Experience managing and processing multi-state payroll, benefits reconciliation, and 401(k) plan administration.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial forecasting, planning and analysis. Strong analytical skills to assess and interpret financial trends and performance and provide actionable insights for decision-making.
- Proven experience managing end-to-end billing and collections with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Experience in overseeing insurance and risk management strategies.
- Experience in assisting with business funding decisions, including evaluating financing options, creating materials for a BoD or investor audience, and scenario modeling.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to diverse stakeholders, collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and contribute to strategic discussions.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and business and employer compliance requirements.
- This role is based out of our office in Boston, MA. We operate in a hybrid model, with regular in-office days Monday and Wednesday.
