Position Description:

Develops discreet analyses and research, contributes to the breakdown and analysis of problems, and uses data-driven insights to inform broader business decision-making. Identifies factors driving growth or change in industry structures, using Market Research Methodologies. Conducts sophisticated research and analysis to identify competitor offerings and strategies. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs complex research and analysis of a variety of projects.
  • Develops project management frameworks.
  • Conducts asset management research to analyze fund performance for flows and demand and identifies areas of opportunity for new revenue.
  • Conducts research into new trends and products within the retail brokerage world, evaluating price sensitivities, and studying demographic trends to determine opportunity sizing and potential for various markets, customer target groups, and new products.
  • Collaborates with different levels of management across functions to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
  • Leverages data-driven insights to innovate, identify, and defines new paths for future business development.
  • Conducts detailed market analysis using highly customized internal market research and analysis tools.
  • Leverages data to extract insights about business operations and customers that can shape future product offerings to better serve customers’ needs.
  • Utilizes data to conduct detailed process analysis through mapping processes.
  • Identifies metrics that drive operational performances and efficiency improvements.
  • Leads day-to-day management of strategic projects.
  • Proposes plans to optimize communication ecosystems and improve the effectiveness of internal communications.
  • Develops concepts and creates strategic roadmaps for team pain points.
  • Executes client-facing business activities.
  • Implements organizational transformations and growth initiatives.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree  in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent including 3-year foreign degree) and five (5) years of experience as a Director, Fidelity Consulting (or closely related occupation) leading workstreams, gathering quantitative and qualitative data, and recommending improvements to systems, procedures, and organizational changes, within a financial services environment. 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, or Statistics, or a closely related field (or foreign education equivalent) and three (3) years of experience as a Director, Fidelity Consulting (or closely related occupation) leading workstreams, gathering quantitative and qualitative data, and recommending improvements to systems, procedures, and organizational changes, within a financial services environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

Candidate must also possess:

  • Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) determining timelines, addressing impediments, implementing Agile best practices, and tracking project progress according to Agile methodologies, using JIRA and Confluence; managing the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); facilitating business strategy meetings and highlighting project risks/dependencies, using Red, Amber, Green (RAG) status reporting; and creating reports and data visualizations from systems of record, using MicroStrategy or Microsoft Excel dashboards.
  • DE conducting and coordinating advanced data analyses – gathering, structuring, cleansing, regularizing, manipulating, and processing large data sets – by transforming or mapping data, using Microsoft Excel and Tableau; and identifying process optimization opportunities and documenting business processes by collaborating with process leaders, identifying data sources, and capturing relevant systems and manual touchpoints, using IBM Blueworks or Microsoft Visio.
  • DE providing strategic business or organizational recommendations by conducting and synthesizing primary (expert interviews) or secondary (SEC filings and industry/public press) research, using financial data vendors or platforms – Bloomberg, Factset, and Dealogic; and informing business decisions, identifying opportunities, and participating in business case development by preparing reports and presentations for executive audiences, using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
  • DE overseeing customer interactions by analyzing market landscape, sector historical performance, competitive benchmarking, and firm analysis, using SEC reports and financial statements; and overseeing logistical and operational needs by developing workplans and project updates for internal and external stakeholders to address industry/regulatory standards or requirements, using Microsoft PowerPoint and Miro.

Salary:  $180,378.00 - $190,378.00 /year.
