The Director of Events and Experiences will oversee Bilt's events strategy, manage logistics, develop partnerships, and ensure brand consistency. Responsibilities include leading event execution while controlling budgets and enhancing member experiences.
What is Bilt?
Bilt is the membership for where you live.
What started as a way to reward people on their largest expense has turned into an ecosystem connecting our members, property managers and local merchants.
Travel, dining, fitness, everyday spend. We are building systems across payments, credit, loyalty, and commerce all at once.
We run lean and move quickly. Every person here has a real impact on what gets built and how fast it happens.
This role comes with real ownership and high expectations. If you prefer clearly defined lanes and structure, this will feel uncomfortable. If you want to build quickly, have a real say in what gets built, and work on products used by millions, you will likely do your best work here.
What’s the role?
The Director of Events and Experiences at Bilt will be responsible for overseeing and scaling our events function & calendar, ensuring seamless execution of all Bilt’s branded moments. This individual will focus specifically on our most hospitality-forward events, across our key merchant partners and consumer brand teams. You will collaborate across multiple teams, including design, creative, and operations, to ensure that every touchpoint delivers a premium, cohesive experience that represents the Bilt brand at its highest level. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader who can manage complex logistics and quick timelines, bring a vast number of pre-vetted vendors, venues and partners, and scale experiences efficiently while maintaining tight budget controls.
In this role, you will…
Evolve Bilt’s Consumer Brand Events Strategy:
- Lead, grow, and improve upon our current pipeline of events and experiences curated for our group of influencers and partners.
- Ensuring a membership-level experience across all touchpoints
- Evolve the strategy to include new activations, such as Block Party, House Party, and other neighborhood-focused events
- Bring a wealth of hospitality knowledge and customer service experience into the role as you work to build lasting relationships with guests through the memorable, unique and engaging events you produce
Scale Bilt’s Neighborhood Commerce Event Strategy
- Lead and expand Bilt’s B2B and B2C events strategy across key markets, ensuring alignment with brand goals and partner engagement.
- Manage an events calendar, developing a roadmap for offering more in-person experiences for Bilt partners, and enhancing community and brand presence.
- Develop relationships and work closely with internal partners to ensure the events you produce ladder up to broader company goals that help grow our partner network through thoughtful, white glove, and bespoke experiences.
Manage Partner and Vendor Relationships:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, partners, and external stakeholders to flawlessly execute events and ensure Bilt's high standards are met
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to optimize value and maintain budget efficiency, without sacrificing quality or experience
Logistics and Operations:
- Oversee end-to-end logistics, ensuring smooth execution from planning through post-event debrief. Includes event setup, logistics management, and on-site coordination.
- Lead operational initiatives across the team, solving any logistical or operational challenges to ensure seamless project execution.
- Continuously improve and streamline event production processes to increase efficiency and scalability.
In terms of qualification, we're seeking...
- 5-7+ years of experience in brand operations, event management, or related fields.
- 5+ years in hospitality-related experiences
- Strong experience in vendor management, budgeting, and logistical planning.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering premium experiences.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a creative eye for branded experiences.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
Benefits:
- Compensation - We offer a competitive salary with a meaningful stake in the company via equity and our performance bonus program
- Health insurance for you (& your loved ones) from day one - Enjoy a One Medical Membership, wellness stipends, family programs and more, on us. We’ve got you and your family covered from day one.
- 401k plan with a match - Retirement may feel more like a pipe dream than a reality but we’re here to help you get there.
- Commuter FSAs - We believe the best ideas come from being together in one place. We just don’t think getting there should be so expensive.
- UNLIMITED PTO - Because we believe that working hard shouldn’t mean always working. Take time for you as often as you need it.
- Exclusive Employee only Bilt Points - We give our employees unique opportunities to earn points throughout their time at Bilt.
At Bilt Rewards, we believe in transparency and we do our best to make sure the company and our candidates are on the same page as it relates to compensation. In addition to posting salary ranges for our open roles, candidates should expect to be asked about compensation expectations and requirements early on in their interview process. Our goal is to highlight when expectations and Bilt’s salary range may be out of sync, and work with the candidate to determine whether it makes sense to continue conversations.
We are considering candidates with differing levels of expertise for this position. Leveling will be based upon your experience and performance in the interview process.
Where a new hire falls within a range will be based on their individual skills and experience, and how these competencies compare across other employees in the same role. Bilt's bands are designed to allow for individual compensation growth within the role. As such, new hires typically start at the lower end of the range. Bilt rewards performance and outcomes - should you join the company, you will have the opportunity to grow your salary over time.
The salary range for a Director, Events + Experiences is $130,000 - 150,000 and will be eligible for equity and an annual performance-based bonus.
