You will influence MassMutual's dividend strategy through analytics, modeling oversight, and implementation efforts, helping the company continue to deliver long-term value aligned with its mutuality promise. Key responsibilities include:
- Drive Strategic Dividend Planning: Lead the annual dividend schedule development, managing three development cycles and dividend models that support re-pricing and illustration regulation testing
- Shape Financial Outcomes: Provide critical analysis of the annual Dividend Schedule in alignment with strategic & financial goals, including scenario analysis for financials, sales, and capital, and support the development of 3-4 Board presentations
- Lead Competitive & Dividend Liability Analytics: Oversee competitive benchmarking and dividend liability analytics to inform the annual dividend schedule recommendation
- Champion Innovation in Systems & Processes: Oversee the design, recommendation, and implementation of systems and process improvements, including the conversion of dividend models into a future state platform
- Ensure Governance & Operational Excellence: Conduct code reviews, approve production changes, and ensure robust governance and control standards across dividend models
- Foster Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a culture of innovation by proactively identifying opportunities to enhance systems, methodologies, and team capabilities
The Minimum Qualifications
- ASA designation
- Bachelor's degree in mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of actuarial experience
The Ideal Qualifications
- FSA designation
- 7+ years of actuarial experience with 4+ years of experience with life insurance products
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and drive results in a complex environment
- Strong modeling skills including experience with Python
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and VBA
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills including the use of AI
- Ability to create simple, powerful, and data-driven communications
- Ability to work collaboratively and partner with others, and effectively communicate complex analysis and related insights to technical and nontechnical audiences
- Navigates complex and ambiguous problems with agility and resiliency
