The PositionThe Director, Digital Marketing, reporting directly to the VP, Marketing, is responsible for developing and executing data-driven strategies that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, engagement, and retention. This role will lead the design and optimization of multi-channel lifecycle programs leveraging web content and optimizations, email, SMS, in-app messaging, push notifications, and direct mail to nurture prospects and customers throughout their journey. By utilizing behavioral data, segmentation, and personalized automation, they will create targeted campaigns that convert leads into customers, accelerate onboarding, and drive product adoption to maximize lifetime value.
Key Accountabilities
Collaboration will be key in this role, working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Sales, and Customer Success teams to ensure a seamless experience from initial acquisition through retention and expansion. Success in this role requires a creative, strategic, analytical, and hands-on approach to lifecycle and CRM marketing. With a focus on both acquisition and retention, this role will help shape a best-in-class customer engagement strategy that fuels growth and strengthens customer relationships.
- Develop and execute lead nurture programs, optimize onboarding flows, and create retention initiatives that reduce churn and increase upsell opportunities.
- Oversee CRM platform integrations, website content and platforms, build A/B testing frameworks, and leverage data analytics to refine messaging and targeting strategies across the customer lifecycle.
- Use insights to inform strategic decisions that improve conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee all website-related initiatives including developing and implementing website strategy to improve brand awareness, drive traffic and increase conversions.
Skills/Knowledge:
- 8 + years of progressive experience in digital marketing with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Proven success scaling multi-channel campaigns with measurable impact
- Deep understanding of performance marketing KPIs
- Experience with marketing automation tools such as Hubspot, Marketo or other CRMs
- Strong analytical mindset with expertise in tools like Google Analytics, Looker or Tableau
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Education/Experience:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field, MBA is a plus
Preferred:
- Experience in the Life Sciences industry
