ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Janji is seeking a strategic, data-driven, and brand-focused Director of Digital Marketing to lead our digital strategy and drive sustainable growth.
LOCATION
Candidates who are able to work from our Boston HQ 2x days per week are highly preferred over remote applicants.
IN THIS ROLE, YOU’LL MAINLY BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…
DIGITAL STRATEGY
- Develop and lead the implementation of a growth marketing strategy aligned with Janji’s brand mission and business goals.
- Set overarching KPIs for digital objectives like traffic, conversion, AOV, digital sales, CAC and contribution margin.
- Identify areas of new investment to continually scale new customer acquisition (recent examples at Janji include podcast sponsorship and direct mail).
TEAM AND PEOPLE MANAGEMENT
- Manage a small team of direct reports and external agencies to execute growth strategy.
- Work cross-functionally with the creative team, briefing creative assets, tracking performance, and creating a continual feedback loop to improve advertising assets over time.
- Collaborate with the finance team to align digital strategy with the larger financial picture.
PERFORMANCE MARKETING
- Strategically allocate and manage budgets across paid channels to optimize return on investment and business impact.
- Manage and optimize paid media campaigns across platforms (Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.) to maximize efficiency and performance.
- Partner with agencies and internal teams to innovate, test, and scale new marketing tactics.
- Track, measure, and report digital analytics to the Janji team, distilling actionable insights.
WEBSITE CONVERSION RATE OPTIMIZATION
- Develop a roadmap to optimize Janji.com for AOV and conversion rate growth.
- Partner with development team and external agencies to prioritize high-impact website features and updates to drive growth.
- Use heatmap, user behavior, and site analytics to identify areas of opportunity across the website.
WHO YOU ARE, AND WHAT YOU’VE DONE
- 5+ years in growth marketing, digital marketing, or performance marketing with a proven track record of driving growth in a player-coach role.
- 2-3+ years of team management, including agency and/or freelance.
- Proven track record of scaling growth through multi-channel marketing strategies in a DTC or e-commerce environment.
- Experience managing 6+ figure paid media budgets.
- Experience building and managing paid media platforms such as Meta Ads, Google Ads – hands-on experience preferred, not just managing an agency.
- Advanced understanding of direct response metrics with deep understanding of KPIs such as ROAS, CAC, LTV, and more.
- Passionate about digital media, staying on top of trends and the latest tech and platform developments.
