The RoleThe Director, Digital Experience is a pivotal leadership role within Marketing Operations responsible for defining and executing the strategy to maximize the impact of AspenTech's digital channels. This individual will own the end-to-end website experience for both customers and prospective customers, driving significant enhancements in brand awareness, conversions, and lead generation. This role requires a strategic thinker who can translate business objectives into compelling digital experiences and measurable outcomesYour Impact- Champion, build and execute a comprehensive digital experience strategy across AspenTech's corporate website, related websites, and portals.
- Own the overall website experience, ensuring it is cohesive, engaging, and optimized for user journeys and business outcomes.
- Drive the evolution of our digital presence to elevate the AspenTech brand in the AI innovation space within the industrial market.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a dedicated web team focused on digital experience.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment focused on digital excellence.
- Responsible for achieving measurable improvements in brand awareness, conversion rates, and lead generation through digital channels.
- Establish and manage a powerful conversion engine, optimizing digital touchpoints for maximum impact.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify opportunities, measure performance, and drive continuous optimization of digital experiences.
- Serve as a critical partner to the Technology Organization, ensuring alignment between digital experience strategy and underlying technology infrastructure.
- Collaborate closely with Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing and other key stakeholders to integrate digital efforts with broader marketing and business objectives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital experience, web design, and digital marketing.
- Champion innovation within the digital space to continually enhance user experience and drive competitive advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in digital marketing, web strategy, or digital experience management, with at least 3-5 years in a team leadership or management role.
- History of large website deployments, working in complex environments with both internal and external agencies and resources
- Proven ability to partner with key stakeholders, at all levels within the organization, and become a trusted resource for guiding the organizations strategy on digital experiences
- Track record of successfully owning and optimizing complex website ecosystems to drive measurable business outcomes (e.g., increased traffic, conversions, lead quality, brand engagement).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute digital strategies that align with broader business goals.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of web analytics, A/B testing, SEO principles, and content management systems (CMS).
- Experience working in a B2B environment, preferably within the industrial, software, or AI/technology sectors.
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with IT/Technology teams and external agencies.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and mentorship skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly analytical and data-driven with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
