The Impact of a Director, Demand Generation to Coupa:

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director, Demand Generation to join our team. In this role, you will help set the foundation for the future of demand at Coupa. You will lead the development and execution of integrated demand strategies that align marketing, sales, and partner efforts for your responsible region. The goal is to ensure healthy pipeline, accelerate lead-to-deal conversion, and drive revenue growth through seamless coordination across the business.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead the demand process, including planning, coordination, and analysis for your region
  • Leverage data and analytics to track the performance of demand generation initiatives, ensuring that sales teams have a healthy and predictable pipeline of qualified opportunities
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Alliances, and other teams to develop a coordinated and integrated demand plan that meets business goals
  • Develop tactical sales plays and outreach cadences tailored to specific targets and aligned with business needs
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, customer behaviors, and the competitive landscape to inform demand planning
  • Host Demand Boards and planning activities to track progress and align the ecosystem on demand efforts
  • Understand areas of strength and weakness across relevant solutions
  • Track performance and progress of demand efforts to ensure alignment with pipeline health metrics
  • Provide proactive insights to leadership on demand planning, forecasting, and execution
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and excellence across the demand ecosystem to enhance processes and tools

What You Will Bring to Coupa:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build internal relationships
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful demand management strategies
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Passion for challenging, improving, and innovating at both a personal and organizational level
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
  • Strong financial, business acumen, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate processes into value-add business activities
  • Bachelor’s Degree in analytical discipline (Finance, Business, Computer Science, Engineering)
  • 10+ years work experience in B2B demand generation activities or relevant experience
  • MBA or Equivalent Degree strongly preferred
  • Experience working with large technology companies is a strong asset
