About Our Client

Our client is a Series A SaaS company transforming how teams use data and AI to make smarter decisions. With thousands of free users, strong open-source adoption, and accelerating enterprise demand, the company is entering its next phase of growth.

They are now investing in senior marketing leadership to convert traction into predictable pipeline and scalable revenue.

This is a foundational hire — one of the first senior marketing leaders — with the opportunity to build the systems, strategy, and demand engine that will power the next stage of expansion.

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Director of Demand Generation & Digital Marketing who can operate at both the strategic and execution levels.

This leader will architect and scale an integrated demand engine that:

  • Builds market awareness

  • Converts product-led (PLG) users into subscribers

  • Generates qualified enterprise pipeline

  • Connects open-source adoption with revenue growth

The role includes ownership of digital strategy, website performance, paid acquisition, agency management, and next-generation initiatives such as Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and AI-driven personalization.

Key ResponsibilitiesGrowth & Pipeline Strategy
  • Design and execute a full-funnel demand strategy across SEO, paid media, content, social, lifecycle, and community channels

  • Develop roadmap and budget aligned to awareness, conversion, and enterprise pipeline targets

  • Own marketing performance reporting, attribution modeling, and channel optimization

  • Build scalable, repeatable playbooks to support future team expansion

Digital Marketing & Website Performance
  • Lead website strategy, UX optimization, conversion flow, and experimentation roadmap

  • Drive SEO and AEO visibility across both traditional search and generative AI surfaces

  • Oversee CMS, analytics, marketing automation, and experimentation platforms

  • Partner with Product and Design to align brand, positioning, and conversion strategy

Agency & Budget Ownership
  • Own paid media strategy and budget allocation

  • Manage SEO, performance marketing, creative, and content agencies

  • Ensure accountability and measurable ROI from external partners

  • Dynamically reallocate spend based on performance insights

Content & Lifecycle Programs
  • Partner with Product Marketing and executive leadership to develop differentiated narratives

  • Lead development of thought leadership, webinars, guides, and multimedia content aligned to buyer journeys

  • Deploy marketing automation, personalization, and AI-assisted content workflows

Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Align closely with Sales and Product teams on messaging, campaigns, and funnel analytics

  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and quarterly growth OKRs

  • Mentor future team members and contractors to foster a data-driven marketing culture

Ideal Candidate Profile

Our client is looking for a marketing leader who combines analytical rigor with creative execution.

Qualifications include:

  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS demand generation, growth, or digital marketing (experience in PLG + enterprise hybrid models strongly preferred)

  • Proven ability to scale awareness and pipeline in high-growth environments (Series A–C experience preferred)

  • Deep expertise in SEO, SEM, paid social, CRO, lifecycle automation, and marketing analytics

  • Experience managing budgets and multiple agency relationships

  • Strong fluency with AI-powered marketing tools (automation, personalization, content generation, experimentation)

  • Comfort balancing executive-level strategy with hands-on execution

  • Exceptional communication skills and ability to align cross-functional stakeholders

Why This Role Stands Out

This is an opportunity to architect the demand engine of a rapidly scaling SaaS company at a pivotal growth stage.

The Director will work directly with executive leadership to define brand positioning, build pipeline systems, and influence the company’s next phase of funding and expansion.

For the right leader, this is a chance to move from “optimizing channels” to truly owning growth strategy.
