This is a leadership role that requires equal parts strategic vision, technical depth, and people leadership—you'll set the standards for how we deliver world-class data solutions while building and developing a high-performing team.

So, tell me about the company

Brainlabs is culture-first. You’ve probably heard other companies describe themselves as people, clients, or profit first – but we see people, clients and profit as the building blocks of our ecosystem. Culture powers all three and we know that when the ecosystem is balanced, we all win! That's why the culture we cultivate is a culture of winning together.

In this role you will:

  • Define and own the multi-year data analytics and strategy roadmap, ensuring alignment with commercial outcomes and client needs
  • Own senior client relationships for your portfolio, acting as the primary strategic advisor and being accountable for satisfaction, retention, and growth
  • Lead key strategic client meetings including QBRs, present executive-ready narratives linking analytics work to business outcomes, and expertly navigate client conversations
  • Design and own comprehensive cross-channel measurement plans and attribution frameworks that directly link to ROI
  • Act as the strategic owner of major analytical projects (e.g., MMM, attribution, advanced analytics), ensuring insights solve core business problems
  • Drive revenue growth by proactively identifying and converting new opportunities; own revenue targets for your client portfolio
  • Lead scoping of large, complex projects; write proposals, negotiate commercials, and own large client pitches
  • Design and launch new, scalable data service offerings, creating go-to-market plans and training materials
  • Line-manage and develop data strategists and analysts; set goals, deliver performance reviews, and drive team succession planning
  • Establish and audit adoption of analytics standards, dashboard best practices, and quality controls across the practice
  • Sponsor accelerators, templates, and innovations
  • Publish thought leadership through POVs, case studies, and speaking engagements to elevate the practice brand

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 8-12+ years of experience in data analytics, data strategy, management consulting, or analytics leadership roles
  • Has proven experience owning P&L, client portfolios, or practice/team leadership in an agency, consultancy, or similar environment
  • Possesses deep expertise across the analytics and measurement landscape, including advanced analytics, attribution, MMM, experimentation, and data platforms
  • Has strong commercial acumen with experience in pre-sales, scoping, pricing, and business development
  • Can confidently discuss clients' business models, competitive landscape, and financial performance as a strategic partner
  • Has experience managing, coaching, and developing teams; building capability and driving engagement
  • Is a confident executive presence who can influence C-level stakeholders and navigate complex organizational dynamics
  • Stays current on industry trends in analytics, measurement, AI/ML, and martech/adtech ecosystems
  • Is a strategic thinker who can balance big-picture vision with tactical execution and quality control

And this is what success looks like in the role:

  • You consistently achieve or exceed revenue and retention targets for your client portfolio
  • Clients view you as an indispensable strategic partner; you receive outstanding client testimonials
  • Your team achieves high client satisfaction
  • You successfully develop and promote team members; your direct reports grow their capabilities and advance their careers

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
