You’ll bring your first-hand experience, unique perspectives, and functional knowledge to deliver tailored integrated solutions that help our clients solve today's challenges and set the foundation for future success. As a Director at CrossCountry Consulting you will be responsible for a mix of client delivery, business development, leading teams and developing junior team members, as well as serving as a member of CrossCountry’s leadership team.

What You'll Do:

Client Delivery: Lead the development and delivery of services in the following areas:

    • Data, AI, and technology strategy: Advise CFOs and CIOs on AI-first data strategies and roadmaps that democratize data, leverage modern cloud platforms, strengthen data management and quality, uncover critical control needs, and prioritize high-value AI use cases.
    • Data architecture and implementation: Serve as Solution Architect for the enterprise data foundation—scalable, secure, high-performance solutions across cloud platforms that enable multiple downstream solutions, including financial reporting, EPM, analytics, and AI, leading end-to-end ingestion, storage, transformation, and semantic modeling in a single source of truth on platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
    • Finance data, ERP, and EPM enablement: Design data architectures that drive financials and enable the CFO's EPM strategy—integrating ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct) with EPM platforms (e.g., OneStream, Anaplan, Oracle EPM, Workday Adaptive Planning, Pigment) and delivering trusted data for close, consolidation, planning, forecasting, and management reporting.
    • AI platforms and agentic solutions: Architect the data foundation for AI platforms and agentic solutions, and lead delivery of AI use cases for finance and operations—leveraging capabilities such as Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Databricks Mosaic AI, and Snowflake Cortex, along with the data readiness, governance, and controls required for AI at scale.
    • Private equity and mid-market growth: Partner with CFOs and CIOs at mid-market, PE-backed portfolio companies to assess data maturity in less mature organizations and build pragmatic, scalable data foundations that support growth, value creation, add-on acquisitions, and exit readiness.
    • Data governance, analytics, and automation: Define and enforce governance, security, and compliance standards; optimize pipelines and ETL for performance, scalability, and cost; and design forecasting and predictive analytics models.
    • Interview clients to identify root causes, define and document business requirements, and conduct current state / future state gap analyses for business and data processes.
    • Develop and deliver compelling executive-level presentations and communications to CFOs and CIOs, translating complex data and AI architectures into clear business value.
    • Contribute to developing and implementing firm-approved, AI-enabled solutions for clients, in accordance with company policies on data protection, intellectual property, and professional standards.
    • Stay informed about emerging AI tools and techniques and collaborate with firm leadership to identify compliant opportunities to enhance client solutions and internal processes.
    • Practice Leadership: Serve as a key leader in the Data Transformation & Analytics practice by:

      • Overseeing client accounts, projects, and engagements, including work plans, staffing, timelines, fee negotiations, and budgets throughout all lifecycle phases, covering strategy, goal setting, deliverables, and maintaining an integrated project plan.
      • Leading business development efforts and marketing a full range of services to prospective clients, leveraging existing relationships to generate new opportunities.
      • Developing timely resolutions to issues, mitigating risks, and addressing project team conflicts.
      • Creating delivery methodologies and new service offerings, and contributing to go-to-market strategy and practice-specific programs.
      • Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending solutions to improve clients’ data infrastructure and analytics capabilities.
      • Managing teams and people by tracking and directing performance against objectives while encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
      • Mentoring and coaching team members, including providing regular feedback and annual performance reviews, and guiding project teams through complex, multi-faceted issues.

What You'll Bring:

    • Deep, hands-on expertise designing and implementing foundational cloud data environments on platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric, including ingestion and integration, lakehouse and warehouse architecture, data modeling, and data architecture modernization. The environment should be built once and support many solutions: AI use cases, analytics, and system integrations. Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
    • Experience building semantic layers within the data environment, including governed metrics, business definitions, and finance data models (e.g., dbt Semantic Layer, Snowflake semantic views, Databricks metric views, Fabric semantic models). These give analytics tools, EPM, and AI agents one consistent, trusted view of the business.
    • Proven experience partnering with CFOs and CIOs to design data foundations that support finance analytics, agentic platforms and AI solutions, and ERP and EPM integrations.
    • Experience building the data capabilities that make AI solutions work, including AI-ready data models, metadata management and data catalogs, data lineage, data quality and observability, unstructured data processing, vector search and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, role-based security and access controls, and governance and monitoring for generative and agentic AI (e.g., Snowflake Cortex, Databricks Mosaic AI, Microsoft Fabric and Azure AI Foundry).
    • Understanding of key finance and business processes such as Lead to Cash / Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report, and Hire to Retire.
    • Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Lean, Waterfall).
    • Private Equity experience required: a track record of working with CFOs and CIOs at mid-market, PE-backed portfolio companies, including assessing the data maturity of less mature organizations and building scalable solutions that support growth, value creation, add-on acquisitions, and exit readiness.
    • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the executive presence to present confidently to CFOs and CIOs.
    • Consistent success in building and developing strong client relationships.
    • Proven experience in identifying new growth and shared revenue opportunities by collaborating with sales leadership to generate new business, expand existing relationships, and increase bookings.
    • Prior experience managing client and/or internal teams by guiding performance against objectives, creating an atmosphere of trust and collaboration, and encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
    • AI Mindset: An AI-first approach to solving client problems, with the ability to guide CFOs and CIOs on where AI creates value, and a demonstrated ability to responsibly explore and adopt firm-approved AI tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
    • Continuous Learning Mindset: Openness to learning and applying emerging technologies including AI and automation in alignment with firm policies and client standards.
    • A passion for mentoring and leading teams while efficiently implementing new ideas and initiatives.

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
    • Willingness to travel up to 30%. Travel varies based on client preferences.
